Q: What brought you to our website? If it was another site, please let us know where you heard of us. A: Mordexis directed me to your page after saying OSD was a pretty cool group. Q: This recruitment process is a great opportunity to get to know you a little bit. Please tell us a little about yourself personally and add in your past MMO experience. A: I think I can sum myself up as a creative, level headed, easy going, fun to be around gamer who also happens to LOVE coloring and the fun things in life. I'm a mom to the coolest two year old/C'thulhu cult member ever and an avid Whovian to boot. I like to play all sorts of games, mostly on the PC, and have been a part of WoW, Champions Online, The Secret World, Landmark, and now Wildstar! I can get to be very talkative once you break my possibly candy coated shy shell, and I get along with just about everyone. Outside of gaming I spend my time digital coloring (I'm on deviantart as Bunni-B if anyone wants to look ) and I indulge in the fine arts of reading and keeping up with my kid! Q: What time of day do you typically play? How often? A: It usually varies cause of work and my kid, but I'll typically be online anytime from 10am to 1am Mountain Time including weekends. Q: What kind of character do you typically play? Tell us about your main character, and please list any alts that you will be bringing into the guild as well. A: I'm a big fan of playing melee characters across most games with a few exceptions. I also enjoy being the sneaky type... nothing quite like taking an enemy by surprise! My current and only character so far is AeronRei (silly game not allowing for apostrophes ><), an Aurin Stalker who was an outcast her whole life, but now finds herself among all kinds of outcasts on Nexus. Q: Are you affiliated with any other guilds? A: Nope! Q: What is it you're looking for in a guild? Why do you want to join OSD? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A: I like guilds for the social aspect. It's great to be a part of a group that is easy going and fun to be around. This is a game after all, and the more fun that can be had the better! Being new to Wildstar I don't really know anyone aside from Mordexis so I'd like to try out with the guild that he recommended to me. I bring to the table more fun, and once I get to know folks more I am a great listener, and try to be a good cheerleader for the group as a whole. I think that OSD can provide the setting I need to get the most out of Wildstar, especially since I'm a casual player. Q: We require all new members to complete loyalty quests. These are really just fun things to do with the guild and it proves to us that you want to spend time with everyone (and other members will want to spend time with you). Most of these things you'll be doing regardless, so it's not something out of the ordinary, but they are exclusive to the guild. The loyalty quests are mandatory if you want to be promoted from Cupcake to Dragon. For full details on this check out our loyalty quests page. What do you think about this process? A: Sure! As long as I'm available to help then I'm game for joining in! Q: We have found that guild members have a better gaming experience if they use the forums and the events calendar. This allows you to get game information and join you guildmates in-game as a group. Members should RSVP for scheduled events as their real life schedule permits. Creating events is good for the community and is encouraged whenever possible. What are your thoughts on this? A: In Champions Online, since the character creator is super expansive, lots of players host costume contests. I used to host several on a weekly basis, and I try to attend as many as I can when my schedule allows, including hosting a few on occasion still. I always enjoy events with lots of people, and I'm willing to join in and make new friends along the way! Q: OSD is generally a "casual, do it all" guild, meaning we welcome players from all playstyles and don't limit our focus to one playstyle in particular. We welcome PvPers, PvEers, Roleplayers, Crafters, etc. For example, while we may offer weekly raids, we are not a hardcore raiding guild that requires you to raid 5 or 6 nights a week. We also do not consider any one playstyle to be more important than another, all members of OSD are equal. For example, a hardcore PvPer will never be considered "more valuable" to the guild than a casual Roleplayer would be. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic? A: If a player isn't a complete jerk to everyone, then whatever floats their boat! Q: With the previous question in mind...we will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role, or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and ven the playing field a little. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic? A: As I mentioned in an earlier question, if I'm available and have the time then I'm willing to help out with the guild Q: If you violate any rules defined within the gaming EULA, or the OSD Code of Conduct you will face disciplinary action up to and including removal from this community. Do you understand and agree with this rule? A: Noted, and totally agree. Q: Is bacon awesome? Why? A: While bacon is awesome, it doesn't belong as a chap-stick flavor... also cheesecake is FAR superior!!
