Hi! This is my application, in hopes to join OSD. Q - What brought you to our website? A - Saw your post on the DDO guild matchup forums Q - This recruitment process requires that we get to know you a little bit. Tell us about yourself. A - I'm a 41 year old male from Sweden that would like to join OSD. I am looking for a friendly, light RP guild that do not rush dungeons, and that have some activites doing raids lateron. I am leaving the EU servers because of codmasters inability to get their act together, and because more and more players are leaving the EU servers in favor for the US servers, hence the poulation is starting to get rather sparse. I am an avid D&D PnP player and DM, and have been playing DDO since beta. Took a break for a year or so, and have just recently returned to DDO again. I am currently running an online D&D PnP campaign, using Neverwinter Nights 2 as a platform. Will change that when the full toolset for D&D Insider gets released. Am also running a local PnP campaign where i live. If you want to know anything more, feel free to ask me. Q - Do you enjoy Role Playing in-game? A- Oh yeah Q - Which online game interests you? (AoC or DDO) We expect all of our AoC players to use Ventrilo while they are in game. Is this ok with you? A - Well, did play AoC, but did not really like it then. Left it to let it mature some. Currently, i only play DDO, though i have played most of the MMO's. Q - Do you intend on being active on our website forums and Events Calendar? A - Of course. That's part of being in a guild. Q - Once you learn how, we want you to create events or RSVP other scheduled events as your RL schedule permits. What are your thoughts on this? How frequent do you figure on creating an event for others to participate in? You comfortable promoting these events in the Ventrilo and/or guild chat channels? A - Since i am an avid DM in PnP D&D, i would really love to. However, since i have just recently moved to the US servers, i lack in resources ( equipment, money etc ) for rewards in events. And i am a bit unsure how to run them in DDO. But i'm sure i will learn fast, and will for sure start hosting events as soon as i can. Q - Have you been playing MMO's for a while or are you just getting started? A - Been playing MMO's since the MUD days. First "Real" MMO was UO, and have been playing most since then. Q - Do you feel comfortable with the website and it's resources? A - From what i have seen so far, yes. Q - We expect all players to submit and update their characters in our website ROSTER. Are you ok with this? After reading the above content, why do you think it might be important? A - Yes, i am ok with that. Well, mostly so other members know what kind of characters i have, and what they are capable of. Will probably help in planing events etc. Q - What kind of character do you typically play? Tell us about your main character? A - Well, i usually play characters that do well in Solo play, but who will also be an asset in a group. The Solo part is so i can play, even when i have a hard time finding someone to group with. My current main is a Dwarven Battlepriest, meaning he is not a healbot. He use most of his SP to keep himelf going and keeping party buffed, and if he really need to heal, he will mostly use wands and scrolls ( when i start to afford them ). I also have a Shadowmage. I use him primarly to play quests in a different way, using more tactics and stealth to accomplish my goals. However, he still is a full fledged wizard, that will be able to perform as good as any other wizard. Q - If you violate ANY rules defined within the gaming EULA you will be removed from this community. You ok with this? A - Of course. Q - What time of day do you typically play? How often? A - Well, since i am from Europe, my timezone is +1, which is far from standard US time. However, i usually play rather late, so i will be online even during US gaming hours, especially during weekends. I play every day, with an occasional exception. Q - Are you affiliated with any other guilds? A - No. Just arrived at the US servers, and your the first guild that fits my playstyle. Q - How do you think you can best help this community? A - Well, by being polite and helpful. Helping new players that know less about the game than i do. Help seting up, or helping out in events. Participating in grouping and taking part in discussions. Q - Which of the characters listed in your forum signature (see STEP 3) do you play the most? What level is your main character? A - At the moment, i will be playing my Battlepriest ( Vorgh ) since i like him. Currently he is only level 3, since i am new to these servers. However, i have some other characters on the drawingboard, so there will be more to choose from. If the guild is in need of any specific class, i'll be willing to build one, as long it fits my playstyle. Q - We are an Argonnessen Server guild within Dungeons and Dragons Online. Do you play on this server? For Age of Conan we play on the Cimmeria server. Do you play on this server? A - Yes, i play on Argonessen. Q - For Age of Conan, we require that your are familiar with our Guild Structure and Advancement described here (Age of Conan Guild Advancement). Are your prepared for your journey to Vassal? Tell us what you think of this quest ahead of you? A - Well, since i do not play AoC, i opt to ignore this question I hope this answers all you want to know about me. I particularly enjoy this answer. I tend to ignore everyone and everything to do with AoC...hopefully you can learn to do this too. Especially a guy called War... Good to see another European here at OSD. We've Vra, he's Danish or some such nonsense. Im Scottish, but live in Florida and we've Apex, who I think still lives in Germany. And then there is Forgefire who doesnt play right now, RL issues I believe, but he's another one of them Europeans. My play hours are usually 11pm to toolateam...so I might get some time with ya.
Hey there Bee! Thanks for the welcome, even though i have not been admited into the guild yet. Great to hear that there are a few europeans in the guild, that way there are some others to play with even those days i might not be able to stay up too late. Look forward to seing you in game, and grouping with you. Sounds like we could group on a regular basis since you also have a lowbie char. Lets just hope i will be admited into the ranks, and that it won't take too long

Hey. If you dont catch me online tonnight ('bout 11pm onward) look for someone in the guild through the 'who' panel and ask them to track an officer down. And you people have just realised Im a tool? C'mon now....talk about ignorant....pfft!

hey there a fellow european - woot woot! have been playing a bit the last few days but haven't seen you online I'mm look for you in the near future tho! you usually playing in the evenings or? however - I will be out of town from tomorrow till sunday(family stuffage) so unless we are lucky and meet up we'll see each other next week - just ask away if ya need anything or have any questions! Hey! I have been online every day since i applied ( only 1 day thus far ), and shouls show up as either of these two chars i have ín my sig. But i'll keep an eye out for you. Have added your OSD chars to my friend list. Sure, i will shout when i got invited to the guild in the game, unless you want a member to do that, just to make sure i really got invited . I will do a search for players in the guild, and see if i can get hold of an Officer. Will let you know if i have any luck.

End of the semester (and graduation!) is on the horizon and I'm looking forward to getting some DDO time in again. I have a range of char lvls from a lvl 4 monk to a 16 Wiz so I'll still have chars that can help as your new chars grow up through the levels (one gap 'tween lvl 10-14, right now). Hmmm, i might actually help the Danes to raid the German coastline. We scandinavians really should stick together Or maybe, we'll just raid the American coastline, like we used to way way back, before America was America
