Q. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? A. Final Fantasy XIV Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. I am currently an IT Professional at the US Naval Academy. I am a new father again oldest is 21 youngest has just turned 1. My superhero power is the ability to laugh during the toughest of raid wipes and progression material. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. OSD Sounds like the type of guild I am looking for. A guild that is casually hardcore from what I gather from the post I saw on the FF Forums. I love MMO”s and they are meant to be played with other people. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. The FFXIV forums. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones. A. My schedule is a bit erratic atm as I’m getting married in 17 days and have the 1 year old. That and work take up a lot of my time but I still manage to get about an hour or 2 in a night. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. Dark Age of Camelot, RvR is why. And it’s the first MMO that I made level cap in with a charact. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. I do most of my gaming on PC but do have an Xbox One. Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. The list of games I haven’t played is probably shorter but here we go, EQ and EQ II, The Realm, DAoC, Wow, Warhammer, Age of Conan, TSW, Black Desert, FFXIV and TESO to name just a few. Q. What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. I enjoy PVP and Crafting most of all but in all honesty there isn’t much about MMO’s I don’t like other than gold sellers. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. As of now the only game on my radar is Camelot Unchained. Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. I am usually an active TS’er but due to space constraints right now the computer is in the bedroom and with the baby and fiancée right near me I can’t hop on TS that often. Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. Those rules are right along my own rules so I won’t have any problems. Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. I love to help others out whenever I can. But as I’ve said with the young one it can be hard to commit. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. If the item is beneficial to a tank or healer I feel they have first dibs While all aspects of the raid (dps, healers, tanks) are important the tanks and healer classes seems to be the ones guilds have less of. Therefore by gearing them up it helps progression along faster. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. Is there even any doubt, bacon is the superfood of all superfoods . I usually dream of bacon wrapped in bacon on top of a stuff bacon crust pizza.

Great application! Sense of humor definitely helps. Like Xanz has posted above, I do not see your 2 permission requests yet, so we can give you permissions on the forum. After you follow the steps above and request for Member and Citizen permissions separately, we can unlock the veil to the forums for you. Just kindly post something below when you have done so to alert us. Thanks in advance! Welcome to OSD! Doc
Sorry it has been a longer than expected day, just now getting home. I have clicked to join both groups and thank you for the help and welcomes all.
All your permissions are accepted and you're good to go on the site. Officially, welcome to the Order. Doc and Flash will run you through anything else you need. Cheers.
