Q: What brought you to our website? A: Aha to the point.... I was recommended to visit the site by Nahr who has been a long time friend from other games. I hadn't really made any solid plans for SWToR other than a desire to play and this sounded like the type of guild I definitely like to be a part of. So here I am. ----- Q: This recruitment process requires that we get to know you a little bit. Please tell us a little about yourself. A: Well you can call me Karkarov, Kark, Karky, "That Guy" or anything else that pops into mind. I obviously like video type games MMO's to be sure and I have been a Star Wars fan (minus the boi part) since I was a kid. Mostly I am just a very geeky dude but among other hobbies I like to paint, I do alot of video editing and creation lately, have a semi popular youtube page for my different gaming events and video's I have done in the past, and I am a volunteer mod on a pretty successful video streaming site for those whacky japanese/asian movies and anime. No I don't watch the ones with cat girls in them, give me some credit. Most important though is that I am twenty five years old. I will also continue to be twenty five years old for quite the foreseeable future, as in forever! ----- Q: We have found that guild members have a better gaming experience if they use the forums and the events calender. This allows you to get game information and join guildies in events as your real life time permits. Do you intend on being active on our website forums and events calendar? A: Sure. In the past I was considerably more gung ho about online gaming and making events and so forth but now I tend to prefer being more low key and casual about it. But.... I still like to participate in events and be involved when my schedule allows. So if a thread catches my interest or a event that sounds fun is going on you can expect to see me get involved. ----- Q: Once you learn how, we would like you to create events or RSVP for other scheduled events as your real life schedule permits. What are your thoughts on this? A: Like I said, I am not as much into being in charge and making events and such as I used to be. I do like to do lots of group content both raiding, small dungeon type parties, and even just questing though. So I may throw up an event here or there when I feel a particular need to do something specific. Thought wise this is a good thing, there is a reason WoW made guild calendar's a default thing and the guild that plays together stays together. The more events and communication about them in a guild the better. ----- Q: Have you been playing MMO's for a while, or are you just getting started? A: I have been playing MMO's so long I had to stop and think about it to answer the question. In short I have been playing MMO's of various types since around Arpil 1998 give or take. ----- Q: We expect all members to submit and update their characters in our website roster. Are you okay with this? After reading the above content, why do you think it might be important? A: Perfectly okay with it. It is important for the obvious reason... lots of people like alts (especially role players) and it is hard to tell who is who sometimes. Nahr is a particular problem for me in past games. I used to have a friend like of about 30 people and roughly 7-9 of them were just her alts . ----- Q: What kind of character do you typically play? Tell us about your main character, and please list any alts that you will be bringing into the guild as well. (Note: We understand that you may not have finalized your character plans for SWTOR yet, as the game has not yet launched. Please give us your tentative plans for the time being. No worries if they change by launch.) A: I am stupid so I like to be punched in the face repeatedly. Therefore I tank. I also like swords. So I must tank with a sword unless dumb game mechanics prevent me by not giving me a decent sword to use. As a result I will likely be a Jedi Guardian type person. Expect me to be EVILLLLLLL though, I like playing a bad guy. ----- Q: If you violate any rules defined within the gaming EULA, you will face disciplinary action up to and including removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A: Totally understand and agree, I don't have much truck for people who abuse bugs or violate ToS's and EULA's. ----- Q: What time of day do you typically play? How often? A: Depends on the day/work schedule. If it is a work day I will either be on very early or very late based on the shift, I like to play at all times on days off. Basically I might be on any given time. I am on the east coast so it would be rare to see me past say 9-10 pm PST. ----- Q: Are you affiliated with any other guilds? A: Currently I am in a WoW guild called "The Grim" on the Twisting Nether server (like a few other recent apps), but otherwise nope. ----- Q: How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A: Well I do like to tank and I like to do things as a group so when people need help with a quest, an event, whatever I am always happy to assist. Also even though I have absolutely zero interest in any kind of "in charge" type role I have done alot of guild leadership in the past, have created and run pvp events in many games, and I do like to post a you tube vid now and again. So I can assist with all sorts of organizational stuff too if needed. The only type of help I would expect or ask for is the help of a guild of friendly people who like hanging out and having a good time. In essence, people to hang out and have a good time with. That is all I want or would need. ----- Q: Our focus in SWTOR will be fighting for the Republic on an RP-PvP server, or an RP-PvE server if there are no RP-PvP servers available. Does this match up with your SWTOR faction and server plans? A: I always play on RP servers so definitely there. I had hoped to be a Sith but I can handle being a rebel scum as long as I get to be a really mean rebel scum who likes spacing engineering teams! After all we have no time to do this the long way that isn't even a sure thing, you have to fight fire with fire and take out the empire NOAH!!!! ----- Q: OSD is generally a "casual, do it all" guild, meaning we welcome players from all playstyles and don't limit our focus to one playstyle in particular. We welcome PvPers, PvEers, Roleplayers, Crafters, etc. For example, while we may offer weekly raids, we are not a hardcore raiding guild that requires you to raid 5 or 6 nights a week. We also do not consider any one playstyle to be more important than another, all members of OSD are equal. For example, a hardcore PvPer will never be considered "more valuable" to the guild than a casual Roleplayer would be. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic? A: Wouldn't have it any other way. ----- Q: With the previous question in mind...We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short a particular class, or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank specced Jedi Knight, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic? A: Well as far as the tank part goes you would probably have to beat me off with a stick to stop me from helping there (though that might encourage me....). While I don't get down with PVP a ton I also have no issue helping out there when I can. To be honest though I will never be Mr. BA at PVP activities, I don't dislike them, I enjoy them in fact, but I will never make it a "focus". I guess you could say the same about Role Playing but I will bandy about with that here and there too. ----- Q: Is bacon awesome? Why? A: Despite the connotations and how easy it will be to nail me for saying this... I am more of a sausage man. Now mind you I mean the patty type sausage, not the link sausage, no sir. Bacon is "okay" though, as long as it is in moderation. I think it bears mentioning that the more important debate is gummy bears. Lately it has come to my attention that some fools out there are trying to insist that Haribo is not the one and only superior gummy bear manufacturer. Sure brach's makes a fair gummy but please... it holds no candle to the Haribo brand. German people can not be considered here though because they don't seem to like American Haribo gummy bears because they are too colorful even though they taste the same. I have tried arguing the point with them before but they are adamant. Also I do admit that despite being a german company the american Haribo gummy is not in fact made in germany, but this isn't my fault and I don't think it effects quality.

Sometimes you got to make the tough choices. Karkarov and I will space engineers as many times as is necessary. Especially when they recommend it.

Karkarov has been one of my best online friends for many, many, years. He can be a little gruff when you first meet him (or hear him, as Aussie pointed out ), but he's got a heart of gold and will do just about anything for friends. His characters tend to be hilarious to RP with ingame too

I am sure it is a wonder everyone should see at least once! Hopefully they won't suffer a face melting in the process too.... the question of course being is it the lightning that melts the face or the potent armpit perfume.....
