Q. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? A. FFXIV/PC/Diablos "Raigar Shadowhide" Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. I am a part time student, full time worker in IT. When not working I am usually playing PC or PS4, but also enjoy movie-watching. I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems to help further my career in playing with computers for eight hours a day! I am convinced I have the superpower of opening dimension portals as i'm always losing my keys/wallet etc. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. I am looking for a casual, friendly guild that I can enjoy my time in FFXIV with. I am returning to the game after a long hiatus and have decided to start anew on Diablos. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. I was looking over the official forums and this guild's post intrigued me the most. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones. A. I am typically on between the hours of 1800 to ~2200 PST depending on how tired I am from work Monday-Friday. On the weekends I am off and on throughout the day. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. Final Fantasy 6 is my all time favorite game. It has the best mix of story and gameplay for what was available in the early 90's. I have not been able to find a game that gives me a closer attachment than it. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. I am either playing on my PC or PS4, though have recently picked up an Xbox One. Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. I have played many MMOs over the years, mostly WoW and FF11, though that died off a bit after FFXIV hit. Q. What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. I enjoy raiding the most, it has the best mix of challenge and fun. It gives me the biggest feeling of accomplishment when succeeding at defeating the bosses. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. None that I can think of at this time. I have gotten more casual on MMO/Multiplayer gaming as I really barely have time to dedicate to one. And right now that's FFXIV Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. I have used Teamspeak and other voice-com in the past and am comfortable using them. I would like to use the calendar program to plan and attend events with the guild. Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. I understand and Agree Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. I am always willing to help the community fill gaps in events. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. The person who has not yet received any loot that would benefit from the item. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alexandra-guarnaschelli/candied-bacon-recipe.html
