Hello everyone! Thought I'd go ahead and post my intro Q&A. Q. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? A. I am currently interested in playing FFXIV with OSD. I have one character I play on Diabolos server, by the name of Probles Obles. Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. I'm rapidly approaching 30. I love video games and have loved them since I was very small. I also enjoy anime quite a lot, as well as science fiction in various forms. I don't really have any super powers, but I'm pretty good at mimicking voices. Also, I like to make people laugh. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. I would like to join OSD because it seems like an organization made of good natured people that want to have fun. My real life activities prevent me from being able to be a hardcore player, but I think I can help fill spots where needed. And I'm hoping that OSD will be able to help me understand FFXIV better and play it better, too. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. I was looking for a FC on the Diabolos forum on Square-Enix's official forums. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones. A. Usually I'm able to play after 6 pm EST on Monday and Wednesday, and then anytime on Saturdays. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. This is such a hard question and I never feel like I'm answering it right because there are so many games that I have loved, but I think the first Dead Rising game was the best I've played. Everything was so tight and focused on a particular goal -- making a zombie game that plays like you would imagine a zombie movie might -- that it turned out really, REALLY well. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. I usually play PC but I also play some stuff on PS4 and 3DS. Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. I have never been one to stick to MMOs for very long, except for FFXIV. According to Steam I've played it for 329 hours, which might seem like small potatoes to some but for me that's a ton. Q. What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. Personally I've really enjoyed FFXIV's story, but I think my favorite part of MMOs in general is feeling like you're in an active world. It's awesome to see other people running around, taking on their various tasks. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. At the moment my main focus is FFXIV. Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and our Discord server? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. I'm hoping to be as active as possible on the forums and the Discord, although the latter is more likely to be where I can always be reached as I can access that with my phone, too. Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. Yes! Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your play style of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. I'm happy to help however I can, whenever I can. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. I think that there should be some kind of vote on it if everyone put their best foot forward, but generally I tend to not want the best loot for myself in those situations. I feel like there's always going to be the chance that I get something like that and it's better to let other people, who might have more need or might have contributed more to the fight, to grab that item. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. Bacon is awesome. The only dream I've ever had about it involved me eating a lot of it at once.
