. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? A. I would like to play Black Desert with you all. I am actually still awaiting to see if I can find a Trial pass first. But I wanted to try it out with a guild, to increase the good times! I used to play FFXIV on leviathan, but i havnt touched that in a year. Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. 31 M, In California. I work for a non profit that focuses on human trafficking prevention of young girls in Asia. I travel for work from time to time, and I enjoy it. Pets, none that I know about. I spend my time playing games, watching anime, movies, youtube. Play the Ukulele, hike, and try various new things. I'm not sure if i'm a super hero or villian yet, but it would involve alot of ice cream. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. I want to join OSD, because it seems to have order and structure and guidelines, but at the same time values that are not just about gaming results. I'd say with me around, the level of fun at least goes up by +1, it is my passive after all ^^. I hope to hang out, and have some good times, anyone that wants to do the same is a welcomed pleasure. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. Mr. Google lead me to the forums, then by chance I ended up here. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones. A. CA, PDT. I will most likely play early mornings for an hour or two, and then after work through out the week. Weekends are flexible, maybe longer hours if im not busy. late evenings for sure. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. FF7, it was my first MMO, and one of the few that ive finished. I just never experienced anything like it before that. Before that i usually played fighting and racing games. After that would be FF tactics. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. PC Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. I played FFXI for about 3 years. Wow for 7+ years on and off. FFXIV for a year, FFXIV Reborn for 2 yrs. I enjoyed all of it for different reasons and in different ways. I find a way to have my own fun !! Q. What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. Community and going on random adventures with guildies and friends. It could be a variety of anything from lvling to raiding, to pvp, or crafting. I like having alot of things to try and do. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. Just Black Desert atm, maybe going back to FFXIV someday. Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. I do enjoy participating in forums when I have time. Teamspeak is always fun too. Event calenders are super convenient , so i'm all up for it! Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. Me agree! Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. I like playing different roles, so switching it up would be a welcome opportunity for me. I'm usually down to help, if you are nice to me or at least appreciative. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. Need before Greed! But it does depend on the situation and what rules were decided on ahead of time. I like shinies, but i'm not a loot hussy, I dont mind passin if it means more joy or use for the other person. But of course I place trust in the leaders to have some fairness as well. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. Yes...Yes it is. I dont dream about bacon, I live it!
Permissions are set. Welcome to OSD! Check out this link for more info on the BDO division: http://silverdragons-lair.net/showthread.php?25065-New-Members-Read-This-First! I hope you find a pass out there. Unfortunately, you probably won't find one here since everyone here tends to only give those out to members that have been with the guild for a while. Cheers!
Welcome to OSD! I did see a link on the offical BDO forums having to do with people asking and receiving trial codes. If you are still looking for one, perhaps try there. I applaud your line of work. I am sure it can be both heartbreaking and rewarding.
