OSD Guild T-shirt logo needed!

I was basically linking those images for the basis of ideas. I'm not the artistic type so to express my ideas I have to post pictures. I'm sure those with the talent for it can take ideas from these that people like and make them unique to OSD.

The one tattoo that has the dragon coming over the shoulder I was thinking something of a merge of the top two tattoos. Western dragon with head coming over shoulder.

I also think the concept of that last tattoo for a shirt design would look good. A silver dragon in the top right or left corner of the back would look nice. Then maybe guild name on front pocket area or straight across the chest.

 

I'm normally not a fan lf tattoo type stuffs, especially tribal or whatever kinds, or like, old english lettering, that kind lf stuff... but some of those looked kinda cool! I don't know of they would work for a logo, but for a picture they'd be ok! But also like Kriz said, we'd definitely have to make our own somehow. A big part of the reason we were discussing this in the first place is because the cool dragon logos we use are taken from like, DeviantArt and such, and the artists haven't given us permission to use them, hehe. So ya, good for inspiration, but we'll have to make our own, which is a lot of work and tends to go unappreciated! :3

Also in terms of shirt making, the designs can't connect across the shoulder, because of the way shirts are printed. Most printing sites will limit the printable area with pretty wide margins. So unfortunately, we'd have to stick to traditional graphic tees image placement.

The company that I use does allow me to move around the graphic but not to the point which was discussed.

 

Does seem like a cool concept, though some might also be turned off by the styling as well.

Where does the website banner come from? why not just try to flatten it out in a solid color so there's an option for those that want shirts now. They could help fund the site and con, and also help legitimize the community that much more for people looking to join.

With Kriz being busy and this thread actually getting discussed it could take any pressure off of her till something frees up or someone else can take on the project.

Has there been any talk about OSD meetings at gaming cons, kinda like OSD at E3 sorta thing?

I like the idea of having a logo that could be used on a hockey shirt as well. Logo on chest, with Silver Dragon as the name on the back, with the # 06 for the year the guild was formed. They would be expensive, but very cool.

The icon for the banner on top here was probably googled, you can find that specific dragon everywhere if you look a bit. It's not unique and to be honest, aged very badly.

 

True, just looked and I found that exact dragon by Googling it, albeit the color was changed to match the banner.

My initial intention was to charge just enough for the shirts to cover costs and that is it. However, with a couple of mouse clicks I can set the price of the shirts so the guild can make a couple of bucks off of each purchase. Then I would make sure that 100% of the proceeds goes to the guild as a whole. That is not a bad idea actually. What does everybody think?

 

I was just thinking that the site cost money. Rather then one or a few paying for it or asking for donations selling a shirt would help out. I kinda thought that was the plan already.

I'm not suggesting anyone "profit." Just a way to fund the guilds needs.

 

yea I get you, just I didn't think Fin had a way to make profit out of the website. My bad lol

Anyway...

I kinda had a design pop into my head last month for this and I decided to see if I could make it a reality. The design has a transparent background to show any background color behind it. If you guys really like this or have some great suggestions to make it better I can change it, scrap it, or put it up for some T-shirts in the OSD store. You cannot hurt my feelings so what do you think?
