OSD Guild T-shirt logo needed!

Anyway...

A bunch of us were talking about a standard OSD logo that would be cool to have on a T-shirt. I already have a store front with our OSD-Con apparel and could easily add clothing with the new guild logo.

SO.... I could use the above cool grey/silver logo, but I was wondering if anyone wanted to design and submit another idea.


Now after we get some contributions I will put up a poll on whose we will choose to put up on my store. PLEASE I want this thread to be positive and filled with brainstorming ideas. There is no time limit to this artistry.

I know there are many talented people in this guild. So I want to see some ideas! Go crazy!

Does this mean that you are allowing other members to take the logo, be creative, and change it if they want?

Absolutely!

It would be absolutely amazing if each division modified it slightly to fit their setting. Or if you just need a few assets from there, go right ahead! It's all fair use (unless you get rich off it... then Xerkhan and I want our cut! )

 

That is hands down the coolest logo I have ever seen in over 25 years of gaming.

edit: In B4 anyone adds bacon to it. WHY HAS IT BEEN ALMOST A WEEK AND NO ONE HAS ADDED BACON TO THIS LOGO.

 

OK so here are some mockups of the WildStar shirts I'm thinking about.

These can easily be modified for either general OSD use, or division specific use

Love the concept.

Maybe as a division thing, you could come up with "Order of the Silver Dragons" in a typeface that matches the game, as a way of denoting divisions.

 

Everyone seems to really love the Wildstar one, but I have one question. I know the artist (not personally of course but on the net), so I recognized that dragon right away. Was she asked if we could use this logo? I know a lot of people have asked on her DeviantArt page, but I'd just want to be sure we're not using her stuff without her ok...especially if it's for our logo, and even t-shirt where money is involved. I'm aware nobody really gives a damn on the Internet but I'd rather we make our own stuff then taking other people's work.

 

I like the design except for the skull in it. Imo, the skull ruins it.

I really can't recall where that image came from, but I absolutely agree that we need permission to use it!

Since you are familiar with the artist, could you reach out or point me in the right direction? We'll obtain permission or we'll remove it.

Valdar, the Skull in the middle is for the WildStar division since we're Exiles and that's the Exile logo

Ok, I'll get on this as soon add I get home. Worst case we'll need to commission one of our ranks to draw something along those lines

 

I think it would be great to have our own drawn logo! ^_^ I would love to help with it, but I'm not a good enough artist to draw a dragon :x On the other hand, I'm very familiar with photoshop so I wouldn't mind doing text and such! ^_^ Assuming I can get some filters again... it's tricky working without all the nice filters my dad has :3

My suggestion would be to keep it game generic if possible, given the bredth of games OSD supports.

 

I agree with this. We are looking for a logo that the whole guild can stand behind. Individual divisions are more than welcome to design a specific logo if they wish. I know that I said that there was not a time limit for this. However, I thought that there would be more designs submitted by now.

Please. All you members with artistic talent, please submit any and all ideas here so we can stand proud of our guild wearing your design!

 

How about you guys brainstorm something before someone invest 8+ hours into it?
What do you want in a logo, is it just a logo or the overall forum headers...what type of dragons you guys want...in what style...etc
