looked at the new venues youve found, vast. they look really good. i LOVE the creek'n'woods. so much space! too bad theres no 'yard' space... but the decking kinda makes up for it. i really like New River too due to all the open commune(?) space and itd be SUPER fun to sit in the river and chill with a beer, but the beds/sleeping situation seems odd. goat farm seems awesome, but interior pics are a bit lacking.. makes it feel small
Alright, I have looked at these options and have come up with some observations. When we gtg 80% of our activities are sleeping, eating/drinking, and gaming. We do other stuff too, but this is what we usually end up doing. We tend to make big dinners and everyone usually eats at the same time. So eating spaces are important. With that in mind, here are my thoughts on some of the choices. All the other locations seem inferior to these when considering the above criteria. Best eating and gaming location: Harpers Ferry WV - RIVERFRONT - $360 night/6 nights = $2160 8 people (more on this later) = $270 each This has not one, or two, but THREE eating tables. That also allows 3 separate games to be played at once. Not everyone could sleep here though so Draik, Amie, and I would prolly find a separate sleeping place. Lancaster, PA - LAKE HOUSE/South (+North!) - $233 + ($191)/6 nights = $2544 11 people = $231 each This place, also right on the water, could work very well. Vastiner posted up this location before labeled Lake House / South. It is half of a duplex. We would need to book both sides of this building for it to be comfortable. The pros to this are now we have access to two separate kitchens with a huge deck and multiple bars (for me!) Also, Draik, Amie, and I could stay in the other half without driving anywhere. It has a hot tub (South) and an outdoor grill (North). We would also get a discount on the above prices if we booked both sides. CONS: Only a single large table to eat/game. LITTLE BETTER: We could use the dining table in the other place to game as well.
