Searching more challenge in-game than PvE, Cimmeria was named often and OSD suite well my way of life. This weekend, I met a raid group from OSD and an Recruitment call has appeared in the chat window. So I think the timing is good for meeting new friends! I play MMORPG since Guild Wars Propheties, and Arannah of Old Ages (main char. Warrior/Ritualist) has see the end of Propheties/Factions/Nightfall/EotN. I played each days, it's the relaxing time of the day. I'm 32 years old and noew new father of Olivier, my 3 1/2 months little baby. I live in Quebec City, Canada, my main language is French, so please be kind if you don't understand what I try to tell you I like alot role-playing game and I have played alot of "paper" RPG (D&D 0 to 4.5; Shadowrun; Starwars; Blood Lust; Paranoia; Call of Chtulu; and others). In fact, it's the lack of time and friends studying in others cities that bring me to play RPG or online game (Diablo 1 was the first...aahhhhh old memories) I want to join for AoC, and I will install Ventrilo if needed. But the fact is that I'm poor for English conversation, so probably I will scrap my microphone if I talk... - Do you intend on being active on our website forums and Events Calendar? Everyday I will check the forum, and if timing is good and Olivier (or my wife!) give me some time, I will surely do some Calendar Events (I have participated at nearly each GW events: Xmas, Halloween.) How frequent I figure creating an event for others to participate in? I don't know what is an events or RSVP, but if it means calling a raid on epic White Sands or asking help for grouping from the Guild to do Atzel fortress gruop quest, surely. But for the moment it's hard to tell cause my baby is young... I feel comfortable with the website and it's resources. I expect to submit and update my characters in our website ROSTER. I think it's important to show people how imply I am in the game, the guild. I want to let you know that you can count on me when I am log to help or drive quest run. I play generally fighter or spellcaster fighter (in D&D, Clerics very often). I like to help and support my fellow guildmate with indirect spell (buff or heal) and like to give headache to all others with my favorite kind of weapons (2-handed what you want). My first char. in AoC is Arannah lvl71 DT (River of Blood Guild), but now I prefer Bear Shaman char. Suite me well. Presently I play 3 char. Fenrhis lv 21 Assassin (Thug) with work friends, Gallea lv 30 BS (Zug) with my best friend and Kymyla lv 17 BS (Cimmeria when alone). - If you violate ANY rules defined within the gaming EULA you will be removed from this community. You ok with this? Sure I play generally when my son is sleeping (evening from 8.00pm to 10.30pm) On special days, I play at night (8.00 to 12.00am). I dont' know right now how to help this community, but be respectful is the beginning. I will proudly take any mission OSD will ask me to do, I want to be worthy to my guild and friends. We are in hard times, so any soul must follow is Path and chain Commander. Next time I log in, I will take on the Aspirant Journey, update my application thread and be victorious, or die with a smile on my face.
Excellent app oceanicus! I usually wait till a few folks chime in but I went ahead and approved your citizen and AoC access already. All ya gotta do now is put your toon/s in the roster, home page top left, and then hop in vent for an in-game invite. Even if your english is a little rusty, you can always listen in to us crazy Americans, uh... and Zso! If you're into the immersion part just pop down to a quest channel and we'll leave ya alone unless we wanna quest with ya! Welcome to the Guild!
Bonjour Oceanicus! Welcome aboard. I too play Guild Wars (all campaigns) and currently live in the GTA (Toronto), Ontario, Canada area. I'm glad you are joining us, as you will find that the guildies here are a great group to have fun with! If you see me in-game, stop for a second to chat. Zsolaith
Nykon sneaks in with 2 kegs of Vra's special ale, (don't ask where I got it from because I won't tell). Hail and welcome, Free drinks on me till the kegs are empty or till Vra shows up and kills me, on second thought if he kills me I guess it will be free drinks and entertainment.
Thanks everyone for your happy welcome, From what I read, Zsolaith and me are the only ones from Canada? "listen in to us crazy Americans, uh... and Zso!" LOL I've installed Ventrilo last night and will connect Thursday to ask the the guild request and begin to meet you guys. See ya in Tortage! (or elsewhere later...)
[Welcome, Oceanicus!] This server is still as healthy as its ever been. Hopefully the random ganking in white sands and the Underhalls don't turn you off. It's really not that bad anywhere else... except Tesso on Mayoral struggle nights... and Keshatta... and sometimes Atzel's... and the noble district a lot of the time... well okay, maybe a lot of places have a lot of random ganking. But the city will always be safe (as long as you pay your taxes... heheheh)! [/Welcome, Oceanicus!]
Might be a day late and a dollar short, but I would like also weclome Oceanicus to OSD, if need anything I could help you with please send me a tell my main is Khayman
Vassal Pilgrimage Now that I'm not a slave anymore, and Tortage is free from Strom, I begin my Vassal pilgrimage. I've heard some rumors that the Silver Dragon gates were somewhere in Poitain, and a guard confirm me that this direction might be the good one. So I left Old Tarantia for Poitain, on my foot! Soon I will return to E-mountains and find a big mammoth to serve has my mount. But now, I walk by myself. And I found our City Guild. Can't miss it, and can't imagine how big she is! One this painting, you can see me hailing Crom on the top of the East tower, with our Tier 3 Keep behind me. How proud I am to stand on theses walls, strong as the Mountains of Cimmeria!
I cannot, nay, will not promise anything. Welcome to the Gates, good luck on your app to the guild. I play DDO, so I wont see ya ingame, but I'll hopefully see ya around our forums, this is where our community starts and where we build the guild. Good to see another new face, even if it is for A*C.(<--even the curse filter doesnt want me typing that.) Bee.
aye, - I'm not in any game atm but welcome to the guild! hopefully you'll like it as much as I do and dont forget to use the foums, its awsome how close a bond you can have with ppl here - and it makes grouping with guildies ingame(even in aoc :O) much more fun!
Now, wanting to prove myself worthy to my guild, I decided to challenge a fearsome opponent, dangerous to my Cimmerian brothers, the Brute of Connall's Valley, the All Mighty Yeti! Up the river, across the bridges and trees, I standed at the bottom of the moutains where He dwells. It is now the time to follow the path, slaying Vanirs and Spiders along the way. At the top, the wind whispered a prayer for me, I thinked that the Bear Totem was looking down at me. It is today that His blessing, running through my veins, will tell me if I please Him, or I deceive my kind. Today I will finally know. Approching the Yeti cavern, an heavy voice shoutde at me: "No man was born able to find me, you'd better understand Bear Shaman! Your journey is coming to an end so don't you dare to challenge me or my rage will destroy everything!!! There is no way to save Connall's Valley, cause it is already mine and no hope for humanity corrupted and so blind!" "And no hope to see the moonlight, no hope to see the next day, no hope, no hope!!!!! There is no hope for victory, you'll die Kymyla of Conarch Village, DIE, and rot inside my stomach for eternity..." "Your soul belongs to me since the beginning of your climbing, surrender now, surrender or uselessly fight me... So you'll soon know what's the difference between you, female, and me... Magnoohey the Oldest One!!!" Holding tight my warhammer, sending a prayer the the Bear Totem, I answered: "Your heart burns for hunts, my soul burns for blood I’ll take you, I’ll break you, I’ll crush you, I’ll break you If you want me, I’ll need you, I’ll kill you, feed from you I’ll take you down that road that leads to destruction Come and take a walk with me where the angels fear to tread Kiss the flame, feel the pain in the furnace of our fight I’ll laugh at your torment, I’ll have you, and own you Be hard and cold to you, I’ll be your dark angel I’ll be your worst nightmare I am the One who will hears your screams, I am the fire that burns within your blood I’m the Wild Angel of your fading Life, burning in the night I’m the pyre, I’m the fire come to set you alight I’m the One Forget the past, live only for tonight..." And I charged... "Praise the Bear God, this night I feel the Hungry runs through my veins!" Faithfull to my Cimmerian Sisters, I have done what must be done, and everyone must hear that Kymyla the Voice of the Bear Totem has take down the Yeti, and all Conall's Valley can sleep well tonight...
Nice!! All of Cimmeria, especially The Dragons, are now safe due to your efforts. Thank you. P.S. Nice write up and screen shots.
Excellent job defeating a worthy adversary! Next week we will all sit with drink in hand at the fire and you can tell the tale of this courageous deed!
Hail Guild Scribe, After fighting Magnoohey the Oldest One in Conall's Valley, I decide to visit Tesso, where people are fighting Dark Beasts and Nemedians, equivalent in trouble as Vanir in my beloved country. The Guard named Ignacio has just enough guards to protect Tesso and the entry to Old Tarantia, they just cannot push the invasion away from their walls. I think that I arrived in town just in time. I want to report one of my duty there during my Vassal Journey, a "really not funny at all mission" that an Outcast give me to help their little community designed as "The Nemedian Leader". The mission consist to eliminate the Leader and his bodyguard and take his Battle Standard. The Outcast pointed in my map this point to intercept them. I searched him for a really long time, fighting Nemedians again and again, never finding him in the camp. So I begin to search for clues about this guy. Seaonned bear friends told me that the Leader his doing a road check of his conquered sector, on the road from Corvo to the Camp, beginning, somewhere between, and marching first to Corvo, and coming back to camp. The fact is near Corvo, lots of "adventurers" take his life on the way, and his spawn time is long. The trick is to go to Corvo, and running to the North to intercept him. With luck, he will be somewhere on the road. I have finally face him in the Camp, on the edge of a cliff, near the entry to the Camp, as you can see on my map (I evaded a lot in the fight! ): You can see my attack point vue of the Camp: As it is not always fun to search a "walking long spawning target" in a quest, I humbly want you, Guild Scribe, to put it in our Library Logs my trip, and with luck I will be the last one to search this guy down this road without horse . Vassal Journey point 3 & 5 Traveling in the E-mountains last evening, my goal was simple: The White Hands Officiers must die. Two of my fellow guildmates hearded the call and join me for my duty: Commander Sprig and Aspirant Caer. With thoses experienced adventurers, we cannot fail! The hunt has begin with Words of Wisdom our Commander: " We will test first one of the officiers, and if we take him down fast, the others will die soon after. But if he defend very well, we will be forced to think of an another way to do your battle." The spells of our commander bringed death to everyone under his wrath, the Bear Hunger running through the veins of Aspirant Caer bring her lots of fatal strike, head were smashed and knees were fold. Our maces were enough hard and fast to kill him and his bodyguard, so we proceeded with the others, and few minutes after victory was ours! During the Slaughtery, one epic thrown dagger falled from the hands of the last Officier, which will probably be put in the guild bank for one of our HoX guildmates who can use it. Without leaders, the White Hands and their sidekicks the Damned Cannibals, Commander Sprig decided to decimate them to the last. So the party began, and every enemy was invited! With nothing to strike to, we came back the the Hunting Lodge, selling our stuff, relaxing our muscles and appreciating the calm whipsers of my Beloved Mountains. This night will be silent, only the howling wolves will be hear.
