Q: What brought you to our website?

A: I saw the thread on the Neverwinter guild forums. The guild looks like a good fit for me.

Q: This recruitment process requires that we get to know you a little bit. Tell us about yourself:

A: I'm 40 years old. I've been playing computer and video games since the 1980s. I'm a software engineer by day and a husband and father by night. I have a 5 year old son.

Q: Please let us know what your @handle is (your character will be called xxxxxx@yourhandle, for example mine is @bezza1985). Many people will have a different @handle compared to their Account name on this website, so knowing your @handle will let us know that it's you in-game!:

    A: @jglor

Q: All members are expected to uphold respectful conduct when communicating with other players and guildmates. This applies to in-game situations, our website and on guild/NWO related websites and message boards. Intolerance for others based upon religion / sexuality / gender / ethnicity / etc. is not welcome. We are a guild of HONOR and INTEGRITY, and we reflect that in all public forums. The general rule of thumb is to treat people how you would like to be treated in return. How do you feel about this?

A: I think this is great. I wish more people would treat each other with respect. I tend to stay away from games where this doesn't happen. Games are for fun, not for being rude and hurting other people.

Q: OSD is generally a "casual, do it all" guild, meaning we welcome players from all playstyles and don't limit our focus to one playstyle in particular. We welcome PvPers, PvEers, Roleplayers, Crafters, etc. For example, while we may offer weekly raids, we are not a hardcore raiding guild that requires you to raid 5 or 6 nights a week. We also do not consider any one playstyle to be more important than another, all members of OSD are equal. For example, a hardcore PvPer will never be considered "more valuable" to the guild than a casual Roleplayer would be. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic?

A: I actually like this. I am a pretty causal player just because I don't have time to play that much any more. I don't like games that feel like work. I already have a job and a busy home life, I play games to relax.

Q: With the previous question in mind...We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short a particular class, or just need to fill up an empty group spot. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic?

A: I don't mind grouping with guildmates, in fact that's why I'm interested in joining this guild. Since I usually only get a few hours a night to play, I don't like wasting time waiting in queues or looking for something to do. I tend to solo a lot just because I usually don't know anybody in the game, but I do like playing in groups.

Q: We do ask that you stay active on the guild website as much as possible. We don't expect anybody to become a forum junkie by any means. But we do expect our members to cast their votes on any polls we put up, give input in any posts we make asking for opinions, as well as chime in with your thoughts when other members open discussions. What are your thoughts on this?

A: I will be active on the forum as much as I can. I'm not sure how much time I will be able to do that.

Q: We have found that guild members have a better gaming experience if they use the forums and the events calender. This allows you to get game information and join guildies in quests as your RL time permits. Do you intend on being active on our website forums and Events Calendar?

A: Yes, but I don't know how often I will be able to participate in events.

Q: Once you learn how, we would like you to create events or RSVP for other scheduled events as your RL schedule permits. What are your thoughts on this?

A: Sure. I would love to create events that can conform to my schedule.

Q: Are you willing to give priority to guild-sponsored events?

    A: Yes, time permitting

Q: Nearly all of our events are scheduled in the afternoon or evening EST/CST/PST. Events done outside of this time frame will require initiative on the parts of interested members in organizing them. Are you okay with this?

A: Since I really only play in the evening PST, it sounds like events will actually take place when I can do them

Q: Have you been playing MMO's for a while or are you just getting started?

A: My first MMO was EverQuest, which I played for a few years. I really didn't play any other MMOs again until DC Universe Online. It was amazing to me the changes that had come to MMOs during all that time.

Q: What kind of character do you typically play? Tell us about what will be your main character:

A: I usually play tank type characters. My main in Neverwinter was a level 36 Guardian Fighter on Beholder, but I recently created a Trickster Rogue on Dragon just for this guild. I'm still playing around with character classes since I've only been playing Neverwinter for about 2 weeks now.

Q: If you violate ANY rules defined within the gaming EULA you will be removed from this community. You ok with this?

A: Yes. There is no point in having rules if they are not enforced

Q: What time of day do you typically play? How often?

A: Right now I am playing most weeknights from about 9:00PM to Midnight PST

Q: Are you affiliated with any other guilds in NWO or other games?

A: Not really. I was in a guild back in Everquest (don't remember the name anymore), and was in the SuperZeros guild in DCUO, but didn't really have time to participate

Q: How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you?

A: I'm just looking for mature people to play with. I can't say I'm the best player out there, but I will treat people right if they treat me right.

You're still younger than me but your Application looks great. Request for Permission to both Groups look great and are approved you now have full forum access. Welcome to the Order of the Silver Dragons, I think you will fit in just fine. Look for an officer in game and we'll try to get you an invite.
