My Introduction and requesting membership

(I was sorry to hear that new membership is closed at the moment... as what I have read about this guild fits with me and my philosophy of playing...... )

(the names I mention have not been registered yet as the servers were not up before I left for work.... but they are the planned names)

First I would like you to meet Kyrn.. he is a half-ling rogue.... his family isolated after the scattering and have improved their skills moving in the shadows ever since..... he is as happy moving thru the shadows alone... as aiding those in need of his services....

Then there is Vaelyn... an elf-en caster... he is as happy relaxing in nature just enjoying the day... to causing havoc and damage....

and last but not least Soma... a warforged... he is here to serve.... at least that is what he will tell you.....

(Well that is a brief intro.... my primary will most likely be Vaelyn... but depending on the mood of the day.. and the need of others I may be playing as any one of them .... )

Welcome to the gates traveller. For the headstart your best option is to find someone in the guild and adventure w/ them. Look for Kril, Drogoon or Menneseth.

Absolutely, look for anyone of us... We'd love to meet you!

You can also look for jesinia or myself...and most other Silver Dragons as well. Welcome to the city gates and I hope you enjoy it here.

Welcome to the forums friend, glad to have you.

Welcome to the gates of the Order Hope to see you in game to get to know ya better. Then we can see if you have the Heart of the Silver Dragon. Take care.

I made it....

(I made it into Stormreach this weekend... all three characters created....
Kyrn (halfling rogue)... Vaelyn (elfen sorcerer) and Soma (warforge wizard)))

(as far as a background on me... I played D&D in the early days and due to real life... got away from playing. I have roleplayed other games over the years... both online and off... both tabletop and live action)

(right now I am just getting used to the game... comparing differences with the beta play and now.... enjoying things so far....)

been primarily playing Vaelyn... and he is currently heading to find the alchemist....

look forward to meeting you all.....

Well Met,

If you want look for one of my characters. Mennesth, Paladin of Dol Arrah, who is my main and Captain of the Guards here.

Zemella the Quick, he doesn't talk much but likes to break things.

Zoltran Shadowoak, don't know much about him, Wizards are often cloaked in mystery and he is no exception

Kelvin Talltree, Agent of the Valaes Tairn.

Also you can look for me on one of my 3 characters: Kril, Krilgar or Krom

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Falstaff gave my hello to you But, well-met stranger. We are a friendly group so just /tell any of us and if we have room in a group we'd be glad to include you. Just let us know you are there.

*Peers from the top of the walls* Well Hello there Vaelyn. i was beginning to think you got lost. Pull up a seat and tell everyone about yourself. Leave the stories of me out of them of course.

Sorry all

<sorry all.. real life took some extra time so have not been on as much as I would have liked>

Vaelyn and Kyrn have been busy exploreing the harbor... <actuallly re-rolled them both due to some flaws I found in the for the way I enjoy playing ---- they are doing much better now.... >

I look forward to adventuring with you all very soon... and thanks for keeping my application open...

and a specai thanks to Renaa for letting everyone know I was alive.....

More than happy to help out. let me know when you are on. Got some equipment that you may want to use.

Just don't ask where it came from.

real life me......

After reading a few other applications/posts I realized I did not talk about real life me....

I am a 44 year young Senior Programmer Analyst from Cleveland Ohio... 4 kids and all with their own lives now.... no wife.. but new girlfriend of a few months that loves gaming too....

I did play the original paper and pencil D&D... but due to family/real life getting in the way I had to stop.. did get to play some other table top games with the kids along the way.. Magic, Vampire and did some live action role play also... at some point I decided to give online games a try... EQ, AC, DAoC, Horizons, EQ2, WOW and GW..... the character I most enjoyed was my hermit Cabalist in DAoC.... He prefered to Solo.. but made a good addition dealing damage in a group setting....

Because of my work schedule it makes it rough getting on sometimes.. so it may goes days at a time without being seen in game.. but if I know about a guild event I do my best to get the time to be online for the event... the role play for me is a great escape....

Well I hope that explains the RL me... I look forward to seeing you all in game....

Thanks for considering me for membership...

Bob

aka... Kyrn, Vaelyn and Soma

Just so you all know I have played with Vaelyn in many of the games he has listed. I can vouch that he is very helpful to the guild and is always willing to lend a hand.

Not sure if it matters much but thought I would throw in my 2 copper.
