A: Healer. I am currently i100 WHM with no other significant jobs. Q: Have you been playing MMO's for a while or are you just getting started? If you have played other MMOs, which specific ones have you played? What is your favorite part of a MMO? (Leveling, PvP, Raiding, Crafting, Achievements, etc) A: My first MMO was FFXI, which I started playing in 2003 (I think, or 2004). I played for about 6 years, then dabbled in other MMOs (Rift, WoW, and Guild Wars 2) but didn't play seriously again until FFXIV was released. My favorite part is healing in raids. Q: Have you been affiliated with any other Free Companies (Guilds) on Diabolos? If so, which ones. A: I was in Shades of Eorzea until tonight. It is disbanding. Q: This recruitment process requires that we get to know you a little bit. Please tell us a little about yourself and how old are you. A: I am 33 years old, married to Bracend Al'vyn for 14 years. (He will be applying when he gets a chance.) We have two kids, 4 and 2, and I am a stay at home mom. I previously worked in IT doing programming and QA for banking and insurance companies. A: Yes Q: We have found that guild members have a better gaming experience if they use the forums. This allows you to get game information and join guildies in events as your real life time permits. Do you intend on being active on our website forums? A: Yes Q: Once you learn how, we would like you to create events or RSVP for other scheduled events as your real life schedule permits. What are your thoughts on this? A: Sounds good. I like to hang out with other members, doing events or just chatting. Q: We expect all members to submit and update their characters in our website roster. Are you okay with this? After reading the above content, why do you think it might be important? A: Ok, did it. Is this so people can find us? I'm not sure what that site is for. It doesn't seem searchable by in-game character names if they differ from user name. Q: OSD uses a TeamSpeak Server for Voice Chat. Are you familiar with this program? While it is not required that members be in TS while in the game, it will be required with End Game Raiding and encouraged for content with higher difficulty that needs more coordination. You don't have to speak, just listen. Just having everyone interact will make the run more enjoyable. What are your feelings on this? A: I've used it before, and I have a headset with microphone. I enjoy TeamSpeak when I remember to turn it on. Q: What time of day do you typically play? How often? A: Evening, after about 9:00 CST until around midnight. Occasionally during the day, but not reliably. Q: We will be on the Diabolos Server. Does that match your Server Plans? A: Yes, I'm here. Q: How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A: I love to help out when I can, and I enjoy talking to other players. I am looking for a group of in-game friends. When I played FFXI, I felt closer to some of the members in my LS than I was to a lot of people I knew IRL. While that's probably not as likely with less playtime than I had back then, I am looking forward to being a part of an active free company and getting to know people better. Q: OSD is generally a "casual, do it all" guild, meaning we welcome players from all playstyles and don't limit our focus to one playstyle in particular. We welcome PvPers, PvEers, Raiders, Roleplayers, Crafters, etc. For example, while we may offer weekly dungeon runs and/or raids, we are not a hardcore raiding guild that requires you to participate 5 or 6 nights a week. We also do not consider any one playstyle to be more important than another, all members of OSD are equal. For example, a hardcore PvPer or Raider will never be considered "more valuable" to the than a casual Roleplayer would be. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic? A: Sounds great! I am a casual player, so I haven't done much of the big end-game content yet. I am looking forward to participating in group events, though, and I hope this FC will help me expand my play style.
