Okay so let me try this again with more dignity this time... What brought me here? Hmmm....well my computer brought this far... whoops lost my train of thought for sec ( must be old age catching up to me) MMO's are really no fun without people to play with. So here I am at the foot of the mountain looking for a sign from the MMO deities. Why am I interested in joining this community? After reading all the many posts.... is there reallY reason not to join? Great people with a good sense of humour.... sign me up for that any day. Am I new to MMO"S? Well... not exactly. I spent a few years playing EverQuest, then DAOC ( Dark Age of Camelot) a couple years playing NWN and now DDO. I am an Old school PNP AD&D player ( been at it for almost 20 years now.... man do I feel old) and at one time I could have quoted almost any rule from the Players handbook or DM's guide ( now that I think about it I still have most of my books in storage.....) Do I feel comfortable with the website? Absolutely so... organized and very well put togther. What kind of Character do I usually play? Hmmm... tough question... The day dictates my characters really, some days a quiet Ranger, other days a loud boisterous dwarf. for the most part I stick to ranger though. Describe my style of gameplay? The kind that doesn't get me killed.... But seriously, I am pretty easy going... I kinda go with the flow most times.... I am not a powergamer, I like to experience the scenery and hang out with friends and have fun mostly. What time do I usually play? and how often? I play whenever my wife is asleep.... lol Actually I play mostly at night after 9 PST, firstly because my kids don't go to bed til then and secondly well... because to save huge arguements with my wife it is better to play after the kids go to bed. Can anyone else relate? as to the second part of that question most nights of the week I am on, sometimes on the weekends ( Depends on what the kids want to do really) Am I affiliated with any other guilds? Nope, Nada, Zip, Zilch...... in other words not currently... What are my characters names and what servers? Mariabronne Olwen and Norvak Overhammer... both on Argonnessen. Hopefully that sums it up in a nutshell..... hope to see all of you soon ingame soon. with college i do most of my gaming now either afternoons while my kids are napping, or late night after class, but feel free to use the Events section to plan groups. if folks know others will be online at XX:XX time, then they'll be more likely to get on then. otherwise we might be too busy watching Futurama (which i have my DVR set to record, so i can watch it anytime) or something of that nature. and for you old folks, you can blame my wife that i had to change my retirement plan. originally it included the phrase "die young."
