Hi this is Alic I have read your guild FAQ and feel I would fit into your guild well. I have been playing online for about 3-4 years mostly L1,L2 and WoW a little EQII. All of these being PvP. I have never liked PvP play and mostly just play for fun and don't even PvP unless I have to. Currently in WoW everything is PvP talk/action and I want out! I have been a guild leader in L2 but do not like the politics, who does? I do not hop guilds and end up changing only if guild disbands. Age well lets just say older than your leader 8O . I’m located on the west coast and am an active player. I will log on most every evening. I have played DDO for couple preview days and I am coming to the end of my 10 day trial. I do not know D&D 3.5 rules so I would be hoping to get some coaching there from guildies. I want to at least start with a Cleric I like playing this type of character in most games and have been having fun on my trial basis here. I would hope most of the guild would use a mic for communications I’m not sure if I saw that in the faq but I’m a lousy typest.
Welcome to the forums Alic. If you ask me I think you should get out of WoW too, what a horrible game! But anyway, glad to see you hear on the forums. I believe sookypoo put up some sort of recuitment/applicant/how-to post around here somewhere. So many threads everything is beginning to meld together
YAY a PSTer!!! hehe Come on in... We'd love yo have you. Create an account and it will kick off a recruitment cycle. In the mean time, feel free to review our Guild Archives within the main menu! Welcome to our stronghold!
Welcom Alic, I wouldn't worry to much about the rules. The game will take care of most of them, but some knowledge of them does come in handy when picking your initial skills and feats. Also playing a Cleric can be fun, there are many different types possible in D&D. In the short time I have played DDO I have seen two main types, front line fighter types who use thier spells to keep themselves going providing more damage power to the team and support Clerics who keep a close eye on party health and spend most of thier time casting bless and CLW on others. I recommend you match your feats to your playing style and communicate it to your party. In my book any type of cleric is welcomed, but it is good to know what to expect. If you have any specific question on D&D 3.5 rules please post them. There are a number of experianced players here and even if they don't know the anwser, I have a good collection of back issues of Dragon Magazine that I could check.
Welcome Alic...you have come to the right place. Kick up your feet, sit back and relax. There is a ton of info in this forum, and most everyone is more than happy to assist you in any questions. I'm ne wto DDO as well, but if I don't know there answer I sure know my way around the internet and can find it.
well met, Alic! its good to see found your way into our little community have fun w/your last couple beta days in ddo and browse around here... like everyone said.. there is vast knowledge already posted and all you have to do is ask, and youll get more and its good to see an 'older' crowd gettin in here... makes me feel younger
