Ahh Where to Start... I was born and raised in Fairhaven Capital of Aundair. I led a happy quiet life until War broke out. Being young and Impulsive I jumped at the chance to join up. After my training was complete we were sent of to Thrane to make war. On the fields of Cyre I tasted the horror of my first kill. Just before the War was over I got sent back to my homeland for Border guard duty. Not a month after I left did I hear a rumor that something happened on the fields of Cyre and all there died. After my Enlistment ended I returned home but the memories of my friends and neighbors that died haunted me. Their wives and families looked at me with contempt say "you should have been there instead of my husband" more loudly that if she shouted it. I couldn't bear it, I moved to a small village of Arcanix. It was there in the towers of Arcanix I learned I had a special gift; The Gift to wield magic. The arcane congress was of gentile voice and calm manner but their training was far more difficult than that of the military. While the Archmages and Sorcerers worked on projects that pushed the limits of magic. I worked, often through the nights, On trying to master basic spells and concepts. Then one night something inside me snapped, and I understood for the first time. After that I moved along very quickly in my studies and soon shed the mantle of apprentice. At the ceremony where I was given the title wizard I was also given a charge. That charge was to go to the continent of Xen'drik and research the ruins of the Cyclopes. When I returned I Must bring with me some new information and any artifacts proving my research. Then I will become a full member of The Arcane Congress and be allowed to use their facilities to their fullest potential.
Good stuff!!! It's going to be a balst gaming with you friend... Look me up this weekend in Beta if you still can.
ARGH! BETA it has cause much trouble in my household. I have played my beta account two or three times and now can't get the program to work. I am still stuck waiting at the connect portion or the scan programs section. If anyone has any input to help me resolve this issue I will be forever in your debt
That's a great story there Bran! At first I was having a hard time telling if it was the story of your charcter or the story of your life. I couldn't make out any of the names but I was like, hey it could be in Italy or something and he could be an old dude That was until I saw the whole magic thing, then I realized where we were
Excellent Thats what i was going for Also a quick update on my trouble with the beta client. You need microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and the service pack 1 update for it. I found this in some obscure little secion of the DDO site. fixed my issue
