Last night I ran with five great guys, sorry I can't remember all the names but Dutt, Reemo, Holyaxe were three of them. I was invited to the site by these guys. I have played DDO from near the beginning. I used to be an active member of Second City Saints but then moved to the Caribbean in September of last year and was without effective internet until two weeks ago. Once I had it, of course I am back on. I enjoyed the community comaraderie of the guild I was in but they don't seem to be around much anymore. I was impressed by the Silver Dragons I ran with and I think the feeling was mutual. We had fun. I was an old pen and paper player back in the eighties and never lost the bug. I intend to be active with the guild and a contributing part of the community. I generally play in the evenings and on weekends. I like to play tanks but my first character was a wizard which I still have. I am not affiliated with any other guilds and if I violate anything kick me. I think the website is very slick and would love to both participate and organize events. I love MMO's and don't play anything else anymore. I can contribute to this community by being an active and reliable support for old and new members. I simply love the game. I typically play my fighter Andrik most. He is the party's sacrifical meat. Having played my wizard for a long time, I understand the interdependancy and enjoy the team rapport in quest. I enjoyed running with you guys and look forward to doing so again, in guils or out. Thanks.
First off, sorry you had to run with those guys. Second, welcome to the Silver Gates. I have a brother that joined the SCC, but shortly after they fell apart. I guess they had some internal strife. Anyways. A coupla things, if you could list yer alts in yer sig that would be awesome and....then all we'll need is our glorious guild leader Xavros to come in and our noobsauce guild rogue Thraxes (aka Corriin) and you'll be in OSD heaven. Ignore the sig request, ya done did it already.
Welcome to the Silver Gates, Andrik! It was great running with ya last nite in the Necro...it was nice to have a back to run behind after I ticked off all the mobs! lol We got a good group of people and the website has many resources...why, just earlier today I found a quest guide for Inferno that laid out just what we needed to do! Ahh, hindsight is 20/20, they say... See ya ingame!
Thats probably the very same one Thrax used oh so expertly last night. Im thinking that Thrax isnt the map guy for the army. Do armies have map guys, they must, right? Thrax shouldnt be one of those guys...
I think they do, but they would definately have more than just one person looking at the map to make sure it is right, especially if people like Thrax are the map guys.
yes bee they have map guys and I AM NOT HIM i get lost supper easy if it wasnt for a GPS i might get lost going to work!
This reminds me of when I went into Basic @ Fort Jackson! hehe We flew out of St. Louis as a group of recruits down to Atlanta to catch a connecting flight to Columbia, SC where F.Jackson is. We had :12 minutes between flights to get to the new gate. Any of you that have been to Atla International know it's a BIG airport. The arriving flight from St. Louis dropped us off at the end of one of the concourses and the connecting flight was almost to the end of another. A little personal history...my dad flew as a pilot for United for 30 years based out of Chicago and O'hare (and airports, in general) was/is very familiar territory to me. The doctor smacked my butt with the sound of Air Force jets overhead and I've been immersed in aviation ever since. Back to Atlanta...the sergeant that sent us off in St. Louis gave all the tickets and orders to a guy who had never been in an airport before, much less one of the big ones. The guy left the gate area in Atlanta with his thumb up his kazoo wondering where the hell to go! lol Knowing that we only had :12 minutes for the next flight, I snatched the tickets from him, found the flight we needed on the screens and we preceded to dbl-time to the gate. We made the flight (I wonder now why I was in such a rush to disappear off the Earth for 8 weeks! lol).
the same thaing happened to me but i said screw running and took a smoke break. well i got a hotel room and one last night of freedom.
Hey Andrik! Welcome to the site. I see ya applied for DDO guild access but please go ahead and apply for Citizen group access as well. Citizen has all the main forums stuff like the general boards and the calander stuff. DDo Guild access just has one board access. Let me know here when ya got that applied for and I'll get ya hooked up.
Welcome Andrik. Ill try to keep an eye out for ya or give one of the officers a tell and we'll get ya a guild invite. Lots of good information within these forums so make sure you applied for citizen and ddo access and we'll get ya hooked up there also. Hope to see ya ingame soon.
Welcome to the guild, I wondered to what happened to the second city saints. Had a friend in Mabar that played with the guild.
He'd be more welcome if the FRIENDS LIST didnt SUCK!! It wont tell us when he's on, so we havin a hard time trackin the fella down.
Yeah, since MOD 7. On one hand it acts just as Bee described. On the other, if a person has logged in since MOD 7, I see their pic in the friend's list like they're on whether they are or not. The hotfix didn't fix anything that I could see.
