Hello my name is lordfulmine. I am looking to play a Dwarven Cleric named Harostog Goldenbeard that is on a mission from the Mror Strongholds to recover lost dwarven artifacts to return them to his homeland.

In real life I have a background in Culinary arts. I am interested in Martial arts, and have been Playing D&D for almost twenty years ( mostly as Dm). Sorry for the brevity of my post but I have to get back to Work

A question I often like to ask...

What do you expect from a guild as you play DDO?

in the meantime... our guards will look ya over... and have a drink with ya. ;)

    Food?

I love to cook so that sounds good to me. Will probably pepper (hehe pun intended) with all sorts of questions.

Tell us more though. Where do you come from and what have you done with your characters? As a DM what do you like about DDO?

    Welcome.

So many questions for me! Where to begin? Well I live in New York( long island actually). As I said earlier I have a background in Culinary Arts, but I currently work as a butcher in a supermarket ( much better pay, benefits, and hours than restaurants). I have been playing D&D since the fifth grade when a friend introduced me to the game ( first D&D book that I ever read was the 1st edition Fiend Folio). I played in his campaign on and off for about two years before I decided to start my own game with some of my cousins. I begged my mother to buy me the books so I could play, and after convivcing her that the game wasn't satanically inspired ( or was it? ). She went out and bought me the D&D red box and the monstrous compendium( second edition had just arrived) at which point I began to create my own campaign of Denmire( never mind that I was using D&D and AD&D rulebooks together :p ). Which incidentally was terrible and quickly degenerated into monty haul, but it was a good ride. Since then I have played in most of the settings for D&D as well as most of the Computer games based on D&D worlds
( going back to Pool Of Radiance). I also have a very large collection of D&D books having Inherited them from friends that no longer play over the years. Unfortunately the demands of adult life have pretty much shut down any tabletop gaming I would like to do, so a game like DDO works well for me since I can log in and play for awhile and then log out without having to use all of my free time to run a campaign. As far as what I expect from a guild, I feel that DDO is set up as a social game. We all have to adventure ( there being little else to do in game at the moment), having a guild of like minded adventurers means less downtime looking for a group that may end up disappointing you and more time adventuring, roleplaying, and generally enjoying the game. I like to roleplay but I'm not rabid about it. Funny comments, appropriate ( or grossly innappropriate  ) movie quotes, and general goofing around are mainstays in any good D&D campaign. Solid rp with a dash of irreverence and silliness are the order of the day. While searching the DDO forums for a likely guild to proposition I was impressed by your mature but still easy going take on play style and I think I would be a good fit for your guild. But if you decide otherwise that's cool I'll still be able to handg with you guys in game.

As far as my character is concerened I still have to finalize a few things before I give some more details, but as soon as I know, you'll know. Alright, thanks guys and I hope to hear from you soon!

multiple choice... and if i could put bubbles on here and ask you to use only a no. 2 pencil... i probably would... cause that would be funny...

    1. how would you LIKE to traverse dungeons (no matter how many times youve done that particular dungeon)

    a. so slow that not even voice chat can keep your companions awake
    b. slow enough to stay alive and enjoy the scenery, perhaps even stop the group and tell them to turn up their graphics so they can see this cool light effect
    c. a decent pace, not slowing the group, but giving people time to do what they need, whether it be trading after getting loot from a chest, or waiting for a trap to be disabled even though everyone can make it past alive (hurt but alive)
    d. fast, do what needs to be done, if the optional quests are easy enough, do those too, get the loot, the the xp and get out
    e. warp speed - loot means nothing compared to xp, if you get left behind yo better stay alive.... waterworks, all 4 parts done in less than 1 hr
    f. none of the above - please explain in essay form ;)

Well met Harostog Goldenbeard (and you too lordfulmine). So you come seeking the return of rare artifacts? Would there be other treasures with these artifacts that could be used to further the fight for good? The guild coffers could sure use some PP, and I someone needs to pay for all the ale the visitors drink.

I look forward to hearing more about Harostog.
