Q. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? A. I'm currently active on the PC server of Elder Scrolls Online. My DK Jennacide is my highest level character but I mostly play Darke Aster, who is quickly catching up. Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. IRL I am a geologist with an environmental consulting firm. I can get sent out of town for weeks at a time and hotel internet is shite, so if I disappear for a while that is why. I am a halfway decent artist though I don't have much time to make art anymore. I have a dog, two leopard geckos, a bearded dragon and a bunch of Glo-fish tetras. xD Hobbies are pretty typical of a Floridian: scuba diving, camping, kayaking/canoeing. I love going to conventions. Sadly no Dragon Con this year though. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. I enjoy guilds for the community, really. I often play games for "me" time, but the whole point of an mmorpg is to be social and you really get the most out of the game that way. I really enjoy groups, raiding, RP events, etc. So really to me it is about enriching the experience. I hope others will enjoy my company and I am sure I'll enjoy making new friends. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. I saw an in-game ad. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones. A. I live in Central Time and typically play evening-night. I'd say most likely between 6 and 10 on weekdays. Weekends and days off are a wild card. Sometimes all day, sometimes not at all. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. I cut my teeth on Everquest in 2000 at the age of 12. Explaining my timeless love for it would take all night. xD I suppose it's a combination of how challenging the game was and how young I was. It was a great experience. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. Just PC. Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. Oh gosh. First Everquest, then WoW, then Vanguard with quite a bit of switching around mixed in. In more recent years I've played Neverwinter, Guild Wars 2, FFXIV and ESO. ESO is the only mmo I've played in the last year. I'm not so much on bouncing around anymore. Q. What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. Gameplay mostly. How immersive the game world and mythos is. Community is a major player in longevity. I switched around a lot back in the day because I was doing endgame. Not so much of that anymore. Taking in more of the scenery these days, digging in and getting more invested in my characters and community. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. I'm interested in seeing if Pantheon will deliver. Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. Using the forums will take some getting used to but I'm well known for camping out in voice chat. Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. I agree. Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. I'm usually more than happy to get pulled off my usual grind. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. I've used various systems for awarding loot, from DKP to Loot Council. I like any system that makes sure people earn gear proportionately with their contribution to the guild. So I would hope the item goes to someone in recognition of their good attendance and performance not only in the current raid, but guild progression overall. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. Yes bacon is awesome but I can't say I've dreamed about it. I am unworthy. ;-;

Wow, a geologist!! That is......VERY.......cool. Anthropology has always been something that has fascinated me. Not quite geology, but still, looking at old things so to asses what's happening here so to speak... Neat! Very nice to meet you! Always remember, this forum has hundreds of people like you and I that play these games to decompress... Some not playing ESO. Don't be a stranger. We are reorganize our site and resources so regardless of the game you play, you have access to everyone! Never know what game you might wanna play in the future.... It might be fun for you to so with friends! Welcome to our stronghold!!
Thank you everyone! I'm really excited to get to know you all and participate in events. Of course anyone is welcome to add me on ESO Jennacide Sook, I'll talk your ear off any time aha! Anthropology is also great. You put it perfectly. Imagining what things looked like in the past is one of the coolest parts of learning historical sciences. We're about to do a big stratigraphic investigation in Colorado. I could spend up to three weeks there at a time. I'm really excited for the Phase I shift which is the drilling, aquifer testing and geophysical logging part. Then we come back for a couple weeks to go through all the data and interpret it. It's hard work in the field but so interesting and rewarding!
I am looking forward to chatting with you in game and on discord. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask, I will help you the best that I can.
