Q. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? A. I am interested in BDO for the PC. I have reserved the character name Faylinn, but I am undecided if I will use that for my primary or iumene. The realm is undecided as I am looking for a guild and will join whatever realm they are on when the game launches. Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. I am a 30 year old male software consultant. I have a bachelors of science in computer science. I have been married 8 years with two children(2 and 5 years old). My hobbies are mmos as it is my time to break out and experience something different. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. I have seen your posts in many of the BDO forums and looking at your recruitment message it feels like what I want. I am looking for a place to call home with a strong sence of community. I tend enjoy to lend a hand when I am able, and if I am not working will always be present for guild events. Q - What lead you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which Friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic Magnetism?) A. The BDO forums. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include Times and Time zones. A. Sun.-Fri 7-11PST. Sat as much as I can. Fridays I will play later and weekdays I can be on later if needed, but would not like to go past midnight on a workday. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. Everquest by far. I played EQ for many years because of my guild. I felt accomplishment when we were together and passed our next challenge. The entire server I was on also had a community that was helpful in general, and I could meet new people every day that would become long time friends. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. PC Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. EQ off and on for 10+ years(I cant seem to stop going back even for just a week). WoW 5 years. Others for shorter times such as AA, SW, GW2 Q. What is your favorite part of a MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, Raiding, Community, Roleplaying, Crafting, Achievements, Exploration, etc) A. I enjoy raiding, and crafting/professions secondary. Raiding also ties in with the community though, if the people I raid with are not enjoyable neither is the raiding. With the strong turn of most new MMOs going to PVP I have started to PVP more and do find it enjoyable with the right people. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. Everquest Next Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. TS I will use, sitting in silence is not something I enjoy. I would rather hear the ramblings of other people. Forums if I find something important I will bring it up, but I am much more active about talking about what I find in TS. The calendars I am all for, being able to plan out what is coming up is a must for my schedual. If the event times are constant it is not such a big deal, but when random events are planned for an off day then future notice is always good. Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. I understand and agree. Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. All about helping out. No point in being in a guild if you are not. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. As much as I may want the item, I follow the rules of the loot policy the guild has set out. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. This answer may ruin my chances of getting in the guild, but I hate bacon. I am a sausage type of guy.
I love sausage too...just not as much as bacon. You permissions are accepted and you're good to go on the site. Please check out everything that the site has to offer, which is a lot. Welcome!
Welcome to OSD. I think you will find a good group of friends here. Now it only it was beta weekend! Grrrrrr
Thanks everyone looking forward to getting this game going. Will be playing as much as I can in CBT2 to test out the different classes to pick what I want as my main.
