I am interested in playing FF14ARR. I currently have one character of interest, Deltahn Raanderos, on Diabolos (PC). Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. Hmm, I live with my parents while working as a CNA. I have earned a B.S. in Kinesiology but am applying to enter a program for a BSN. I believe that I have a "calming aura" under normal circumstances. This aura shifts into one that can cause silence in the general vicinity when stress rises to the upper levels. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. I was impressed by the rules and interest expressed in upholding a sense of honor among guild members, something I found sorely lacking in previous groups I have been a part of. I look for comradery and sense of respect and belonging in a guild. In life I believe I should take things as they come and accept things as they are. I try not to judge and I do my best to give others the benefit of the doubt. I have had some training in conflict resolution as part of being a community center employee at my college a few years ago. That being mentioned, I would like to put out there that I am a gay male and that identity is important to me. I am NOT a zealot for LGBTQi+ rights and whatnot and I will not cause trouble over people making passing commentary, however I do hope that if someone truly causes me offense over who I am, that I will be allowed to stand on even ground. If OSD is a community where I can potentially feel like I am part of a family, that is all I want. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. A simple google search led me to the FF14 forums which had a post by OSD that was created about a year go. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones.A. My employer currently favors a 4 days on 2 days off routine but this is subject to change month-by-month. I typically play at 11:30pm on days I work and otherwise noon to 3am or so on days that I am off. I live on West Coast USA so I suppose that falls in PST or GMT -8:00 Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. Ragnarok Online. I practically grew with the game. I played as a Priest class. My character developed from a Novice to an Acolyte to Priest, was reborn and rose from High-Acolyte to High-Priest and finally ascended to Arch Bishop. What made the experience special was that I was able to cast my heals and most buffs on anyone I came across and those spells that required time to complete often had my intended targets walk back to me to wait for my full routine to finish. Afterwards they would offer a thank you usually in the form of a cute emote that was either a <3 that pulsed or a that blew a heart kiss.Q.What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. Just PCQ.Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. I've played a lot of MMOs, I'd list them again but I'm afraid my progress will get deleted again. To put it simply I've played at least 13 MMO's and most of them were "popular" at some point. I'd say I've been playing MMO's off and on for the last 16 years. Q.What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. I like to play with my friends/guildmates, that's all. Items and other stuff are just fluff that helps me keep up. If I can craft something that helps others that brings me pleasure too, but usually that is something many others with much more time can offer in better quality. If only cooking had a spin to it like real life does. Q.Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. Revelation Online Q.OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and our Discord server? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. TeamSpeak is no problem for me, I logged in almost daily in my old guild. I am not a forum goer/poster in most cases but I will try to participate. Calendars and forums are great for planning and organization, it at least lets me make plans to attend some things. Better than being left out for sure. Q.OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. As long as all members are equally subject to the codes then I have no objections. I have seen leader-types allowed more leniency, its disgusting. Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your play style of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. The request is reasonable. I will only decline if I do not have the time or if my mood at the time will not be conducive to a healthy team-work environment. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. I had an answer of great detail before but I'll make it simpler to avoid losing it all again. I believe that in the case of a Damage Weapon dropping and if the top DPSer should get it or if maybe an off-tank DPSer should get it, I would give it to the off-tank. Far too often those who offer a role in support or keeping allies alive do not receive the credit nor rewards I believe they should get. It seems to me that "If all goes well, no one will know you did anything at all" concept is quite strong. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. Bacon is great as part of breakfast or cold with mayo on bread for lunch. Bacon would not manifest in my dreams unless it becomes part of a memory of meeting someone that became important in my life.

With your odd hours, you might be better off doing the in game application to the Free Company - just post you were accepted on the forums. Katya is usually on late, since they are on the West Coast. Also we have a good number of OSD ppl in our community here that are planning on being in on the Revelation Online beta in October as well. It does look pretty sweet with that hybrid Aion/GW/Terra/Blade and Soul vibe. We'll get more info out and posted once that day gets closer to keep your eyes open here on the forums.
