IMPORTANT: New OSD council forming

For close to a decade OSD has been slowly growing and changing. Starting with just one game, Dungeons & Dragons Online, we have broadened our numbers and gaming interest into five very active divisions with many other smaller games being enjoyed by our family. Up until now leadership and large guild decisions have been made by the game officers at large. However, there have been some fairly recent topics that could have benefited from having a smaller governing body to help resolve policy stalemates and provide future guild direction.


So your division officers have decided to create a small cadre that will help with future issues and help steer our guild's direction. This group will not be responsible for day-to-day issues or inner game decisions already handled by our current division leaders and officers. Instead, their purpose will be to help drive guild policy as a whole, provide general guild direction, and enforce disciplinary decisions if needed.


Five council members and a sixth substitute will be elected from a pool of volunteers. Any current member that has access to our sub-forum Den of Talons can put forth their name in consideration with the substitute being a separate position that one can apply to. The applicants will be voted upon by the Den of Talon members. The length of a council member's term will be 6 months with possible extensions due to current guild need or lack of new volunteers to replace them. A two term consecutive limit will be in place with a required single term break until one can be considered again.


A new sub-forum here will contain a place for qualified, interested members to voice their interest in filling a position on our council. This way ALL guild members can read and know those that wish to help steer this great gaming community. All council voting will be contained in the Den of Talons sub-forum.


Your current guild leadership hopes that by voting in this smaller council that current and future issues involving the guild as a whole will be decided upon in a more timely and concrete manner. This will benefit everyone in the long run and assist in streamlining our day-to-day operations. I hope that all members support this new venture and those willing to sacrifice their time and energy to grow and maintain this great gaming community.

• Stage 1:
  • A call for nominations will run from Feb 1st through Feb 13th
• Stage 2:
  • Voting will be carried out from Feb 14th through Feb 20th.
    • In the event that any additional voting or other logistics are required they will be handled between Feb 21st and Feb 29th with the final council being announced March 1st
