A: Currently FFXIV is the main game I am interested in playing with OSD, though I am a sucker for trying new games with friends, especially in an organized/semi organized way. Q 2: Do you currently have characters playing in game? If so, What is the name of your in game character and what server are they on? A: I have a Character in FFXIV, Zansei Tanshi on the Diabolos server. Q 3: Guilds can serve many roles, and as with most things, expectations matter. In order to get a better feel for whether this is a good fit, we would like to know what you look for in a guild. A: I look for a group of people I enjoy spending time with. Ingame and out is nice hehe. I am looking for a group of people that are willing to work together in whatever game they play, and some interest in playing the game well. I don't mean world first or super cutting edge keep a bucket next to the computer sort of thing, just y'know care enough to try and improve or learn stuff. Q 4: When and How often do you usually play? This is so we know when to look for you in game and get you in the Guild. (Please add your time zone in the answer) A: I play most mornings right now, usually for a couple of hours, my schedule is pretty variable though so I would probably also be on "prime time" CST a few nights a week. Q 5: Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played them? Please share one of your favorite memories in a MMO you have played. A: Oh, uh..I started with Everquest and I played that off and on for a few years. After that I played WoW with a couple friend's from college, after they quit I joined the guild I am still in now, I have gone through just about every role there, from raid lead to guild lead and back heh. Very glad for that experience as it has netted me quite a few real life friends as well as my girlfriend (Saviina) who has recently applied to join as well. I have also played a few other MMOs of different genres, I would say the most "serious" ones were Planetside 1 and 2 as well as EvE Online for a bit of time. With each of those I found myself joining a group of helpful and fun people to hang around with, but with an interest in playing the game well and being "serious" for periods when we all decided to. Q 6: What is the best game you have ever played and why? A: The best game I've ever played..I guess would be Everquest, that or Planetside. I say this not really because they were the best mechanically or gameplay wise, but because even years after I can tell stories about them, about camping a mob or hunting down clues for a quest(in a time before every thing had a wiki article the day before it released) or a particularly exciting skirmish, night of missions or heroic last stand or base rescue. The games I consider best are more to do with the people and community I played them with rather than the game itself. Q 7: Are there any upcoming games you're interested in playing? A: upcoming I am not sure on, I am a bit behind honestly and most of my "new" games are on steam sales. I have wanted to try out Black Desert I think it is, because it looked like Guild Wars 2 and I enjoyed that for the brief time I played it. Question Category - Community OSD is a group of folks that has gamed together for more than ten years, many of us consider this group as extended family. As we are more than just a gaming community we like to get to know a little about the folks that want to be part of it. Q 8: OSD advertises on various gaming websites, Facebook, Twitter, and in the games that we are playing. The following questions will help us know what formats are working and where we can improve. Who or What brought you to our Gates? A: Saviina and I have been looking for people to play FFXIV with, and she found someone in game( sorry I never did ask for a name). Savii seemed pretty interested after her chat in game so I checked out the website and feel that the OSD might be a pretty good fit for us/her/me whichever configuration winds up working. Q 9: There are many ways to engage and get the full guild experience with OSD. How often do you see yourself using the Forums / Discord rather than in-game to interact with the community? A: I have no problem using Discord, even outside of the current game I am playing. I have very used to using Ventrilo or Teamspeak to casually engage with a gaming group outside of the main game I play with them. Forums I've never posted on very much but I usually lurk pretty frequently. Q 10: Please tell us a little about yourself. No need to be too explicit. We don’t need your home address or shoe size. Let us know about your hobbies if you have them. Do you have family? Pets? Work? Do you plan to conquer the world by using Lucky Rabbit’s feet or some other crazy idea? (This is probably one of the biggest questions on this application as it lets you tell us about you.) A: Let's see, as far as hobbies go beyond gaming, I enjoy cooking, poking about with electronics telling very bad jokes (ask savi, our WoW guild even has a special name for them) and have tried my hand at homebrewing a couple of times to decent success. I currently live with Savii and a 3 year old American Bulldog named Remi. Q 11: Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A: Bacon is pretty neat, but I am a fan of pork in general. I have yet to have the bacon dream..maybe one day when the time is right.

Welcome! Black Desert is an import of a korean MMO so it is very, very grindy. The combat is action-oriented with few things put on a hotbar.
