A: Neverwinter, though I would be interested in trying out other games so it might expand as I learn more Q 2: Do you currently have characters playing in game? If so, What is the name of your in game character and what server are they on? A: Lunissa. I just started today so I need to figure out how to see the server so I'll add that later! Q 3: Guilds can serve many roles, and as with most things, expectations matter. In order to get a better feel for whether this is a good fit, we would like to know what you look for in a guild. A: A place to learn and grow as a player in that game to then be able to return the favor and help others. Also, to boost each other and forge bonds usually both in and sometimes even out of the game Q 4: When and How often do you usually play? This is so we know when to look for you in game and get you in the Guild. (Please add your time zone in the answer) A: I am in Arizona, so currently MST (we don't have daylight savings), otherwise GMT-7. I will sometimes play during the day if I have a lull in work but will be transitioning to 60% in office within a year. More often than not, I am playing games after 4pm MST and on weekends. Q 5: Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played them? Please share one of your favorite memories in a MMO you have played. A: I was part of Secret of the Solstice for perhaps just under 4 years before switching to Fiesta with some guildmates. I proceeded to play Fiesta for another 5 or so years until the server I was on closed down. I have now been exploring different MMOs trying to find a game that is engaging as well as that has an active social environment like the ones I had found through both Solstice and Fiesta. One of my favorite memories from those times were the guild hide and seek games because it would sometimes be scheduled but more often than not just something sporadic and silly that we would do I tried to encourage a more server based alternative too by hosting in-game-city based hide and seek games with some small cash shop items as prizes for those that one the dfifferent rounds. Even if no prizes were given, the laughs and absolute fun will always be treasured. Currently, I am playing World of Warcraft and finding some degree of this but my schedule has made it hard to connect with the few active guild members. Discord, however, helps this a lot as I have noticed with Minecraft servers on discord. Q 6: What is the best game you have ever played and why? A: In terms of MMO, Fiesta will always hold a special place in my heart because of the story, the friends I made, the art, and the events that would be hosted both by the guild and the creators when it was under Outspark. It was also the first game I ever reached such a high level thanks to the support and time spent with my friends. Aside from that, Minecraft because of the exploration, the crafting, and openness, and also the variety of play styles found in different servers (survival vs creative vs minigames, etc) Q 7: Are there any upcoming games you're interested in playing? A: Biomutant just came out so that has been the biggest one I've been anticipating! Question Category - Community OSD is a group of folks that has gamed together for more than ten years, many of us consider this group as extended family. As we are more than just a gaming community we like to get to know a little about the folks that want to be part of it. Q 8: OSD advertises on various gaming websites, Facebook, Twitter, and in the games that we are playing. The following questions will help us know what formats are working and where we can improve. Who or What brought you to our Gates? A: I found the recruiting guilds thread on the Neverwinter forums and was interested by the blurb posted there. Q 9: There are many ways to engage and get the full guild experience with OSD. How often do you see yourself using the Forums / Discord rather than in-game to interact with the community? A: Forums once in a while, Discord probably throughout the day since I'm checking it every once in a while as is! Q 10: Please tell us a little about yourself. No need to be too explicit. We don’t need your home address or shoe size. Let us know about your hobbies if you have them. Do you have family? Pets? Work? Do you plan to conquer the world by using Lucky Rabbit’s feet or some other crazy idea? (This is probably one of the biggest questions on this application as it lets you tell us about you.) A: I am a public health professional, focusing mainly on work with youth regarding sexual health education, mental health, and LGBTQIA+. I also volunteer for a group that brings together health professionals to fly down to Mexico and provide free clinics with medical, dental, and education, with my focus being primarily on women's clinics and the health education piece. I am also trying to work on my skills to eventually open up a self care shop with a tea shop to fund an organization dedicated to helping more underserved groups like LGBTQIA+ youth, homeless, and so on. For family, I am in an open relationship with a wonderful partner who has become co-pet-parent to 2 big dogs and 3 kitties! For hobbies, I love reading, writing, comic books, video games, tabletop games, board games, games lol, as well as the occasional hike, baking, and herbalism. I am a practicing witch, so I also love learning about magick, herbs, crystals, and so on as part of my craft and Pagan path. Other than that, I also am diving into the world of Twitch streaming and trying my hand at creating some videos for YouTube to connect my growing community between streams with each other and new adventurers! Some last random bits and ends about me: I love random facts (like how almonds are related to the peach), I have a hard time choosing favorites, like how I love both teal and purples, I'm a Gemini, I love stuff related to Artemis and the moon so it comes through in names and such a lot, and Spanish is my first language but I fell in love with writing in school so I speak and write English much better than Spanish now lol Q 11: Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A: It can be! For me, it would have to be bacon wrapped around something like scallops or peppers stuffed with cheese!
