    Hail and well met,

    Your username for this site:
    Caldian

    Primary Character Class:
    Wizard

    Character Back Story:
Need to do some research on Eberron most of my knowledge comes from The Forgotten Realms.

Give us a little bio about yourself:
My name is Greg I am 35 years old and live in California. I started playing PnP DnD back in 93 with a bunch of friends while in the Air Force and continued to play in the years to follow. I enjoy reading fantasy fiction R.A. Salvatore being my favorite author. RPG's have always been my favorite genre. I have played everything from MUD's to MMORPG such as MajorMud, DS, BG, NWN, EQ, WoW etc.

During my 10 day pass I played two classes Cleric and Wizard which both were a lot of fun but while grouping during Redwillow I saw a Wizard casting Web and how it affected the other players in regards to Health and Mana and I was sold. I love how the game forces you into grouping right away which makes the game more enjoyable because you are meeting people and making friends rather than allowing people to solo. Another thing I liked a lot was the chests having items in it reserved just for you. I have seen a lot of people fight over drops and this gives you a chance to be generous to your fellow players and friends. I love this game!

What I am looking for in a guild:
I am looking for group of nice people to play with and have fun.
I have read several of your posts in the guild matchup section on the DDO website. I really feel you have a great group of people here from what I have read and I would really like to be apart of it.

Well met Caldian. You have quite an extensive background in gaming. Pretty much all of us here are big kids as well(self included). What style of play are you accustomed to? Long hours, grinding, short hours but more frequent? What are your views on the current in game voice chat, and would you be opposed to an outside chat system IE ventrillo or teamspeak? Other than that...feel free to browse around the visitors forum and post here and there.

    Greetings Caldian,

As you are aware trouble is brewing in Stormreach and very shortly we will be venturing forth from these gates to deal with the lobold problem and issues the city has. So what say you will your magic aid us in this?

I ask the guild to judge you quickly because if your worthy there is a lot of information you must be supplied with and if your not worthy, well I think we can deal with that at another time.

For you good Sir I ask that you stay nearby to respond to the guards questions and you review all the material currently available to you here at the gate house. We won't have time to wait for you to return from the Dighy to respond to our questions.

So if you have any questions please ask.

Hail and welcome to the Gate! If you were let inside the Gate, what is one thing you think you will bring to the guild with you?

Do you role-play? When you are in the game will you just be playing a character or will you be living the character? (Role-playing is optional here, but I just want to know).

    Welcome and well-met.

I have been known to do all of the above depending on the game but I will have to go with Frequent Long Hours :D

I didn't seem to have any problems with the in game chat feature. I am not opposed to using teamspeak or ventrillo and have used them both in the past.

Aye, I have heard many speak of such things and I will gladly join you and fight against any creature that threatens Stormreach or the Order.

Grouping is always fun for me if it was a good group or even if people were still trying to learn how to best use thier char. I am very laid back and even in the worse group and dying over and over due to traps or taking on a mob that might be out of my groups depth I had a great time and in the end isn't that what it is all about?

I really enjoy helping others I am that guy you see in the Tavern Healing everyone. I strongly believe people should lead by exsample and these people will define the guild. I always treat others with resepct and go out of my way to help others in game or out.

This guy sounds pretty good. It looks like he fits well with our guild objectives. I support his application.

I will roleplay with others who wish to. I have not incountered anyone as of yet who did in the game which is strange now that I think about it. I am more than happy to roleplay though.

I know some of my replies above were brief but I am on my lunch and I only get a half hour. :( wow I am late doh talk to you guys later :D

I agree Falstaff, we should open the doors fully for this one. Lunch time and forum reading, wonder if he knows what he's getting in to :) LOL

He'll probably need a note next time!

    oo oo oo my turn...
    all right then....

multiple choice... and if i could put bubbles on here and ask you to use only a no. 2 pencil... i probably would... cause that would be funny...

    1. how would you LIKE to traverse dungeons (no matter how many times youve done that particular dungeon)

    a. so slow that not even voice chat can keep your companions awake
    b. slow enough to stay alive and enjoy the scenery, perhaps even stop the group and tell them to turn up their graphics so they can see this cool light effect
    c. a decent pace, not slowing the group, but giving people time to do what they need, whether it be trading after getting loot from a chest, or waiting for a trap to be disabled even though everyone can make it past alive (hurt but alive)
    d. fast, do what needs to be done, if the optional quests are easy enough, do those too, get the loot, the the xp and get out
    e. warp speed - loot means nothing compared to xp, if you get left behind yo better stay alive.... waterworks, all 4 parts done in less than 1 hr
    f. none of the above - please explain in essay form

Shhhh I am at work in between Tech Support Calls at the moment. I would have to choose C. a decent pace, not slowing the group, but giving people time to do what they need, whether it be trading after getting loot from a chest, or waiting for a trap to be disabled even though everyone can make it past alive (hurt but alive)

    :D

That would depend on the following:

    A) Is this stick intelligent guess it must be if it is telling me to jump into the river either that or some mage is having fun with me.

This would force me to ask, "Why would thee wish me to do that, to what end?"

    B) Is this the first time it has talked to me or possibly tried to warn me of
danger which I failed to heed in the past?

In that case your damn right I would head first.

    C) Do I need to roll a Will check or does it already have dominace over me?

In this case would I really have a choice?
