I Dakhor de Ayrennyn and Graduate of the Clerical school of healing located at the very northern most reaches of the continent of Europa now stand before the gates of silver and humbly request entrance.

The quest to find the order came to me in a life changing divine vision caused by overconsumption of the local dwarven ale, of which many a young male dwarves such as myself are all too fond of. I am ashamed to admit that during a drunken stupor I dreamt of large and far reaching interconnecting webs that sang the song of the order to me and told me to seek wisdom in the school of healing and then set forth upon the world. After that day my life took on a different meaning as I began my training to become a graduate Cleric. However I still enjoy the occasional strong beverage – I am a dwarf after all.

I seek camaraderie first and foremost. I find myself wandering these empty streets much at night since I am still not accustomed to how the sun moves in these strange lands of Argonnessen. I believe it has something to do with crossing that large body of water. I will try my utmost to be able to participate in the adventures partaken by the order.

As the journey was long and a dwarf, at least from where I come from, does not enter a sea faring vessel lightly. The voyage has left my mind is a shambles, or perhaps it is my stomach – but still I have forgotten many of the ways of the cleric that the school and subsequent adventures taught me. I am unable to focus beyond 3rd lever spells at the moment. In time my body and mind will fuse together and with harmony will come greater wisdom and power and I will be able to contribute much more to the order.

Many a young dwarf are quite headstrong and take a very direct route to battle and adventure. As I have seen the light I take a more slow paced road to enlightenment where things must run its course. But at certain seasonal changes the blood starts to boil in me as well and things can get quite hectic and fast paces – but only for a while.

I hope I have been able to shed more light as to who I am and why I am here.

Oh I almost forgot, by any chance any dwarf that resides within the order that can perhaps recommend a good tavern in the city that serves a definitely good dwarven ale – the one given to me at the harbor tavern ehh well let’s just say I won’t be going back there for drink any time soon.

    Best regards

A pale elven woman with flaming red hair and a distant look in her eyes strides towards the Silver Dragon Stronghold at a steady, relaxed pace. The stains on a cloak that rests about her shoulders like a mantle of fire, and the scored heavy plate mail that covers most of her form suggest she is returning from a very long journey. The weight of a large shield rests upon her back, emblazoned with the same emblem which adorns the gates, and a longsword gleams at her hip. As she draws nearer, her gaze suddenly comes into focus to rest upon the dwarven cleric standing before the entrance hailing the guards.

She raises one gauntlet-clad fist to her chest in salute, then extends it in friendly welcome to the short form of the hearty dwarf before her,
"Well met Dakhor. I am Collanáro Tirnohuinenna of the Silver Dragons." Deep sky blue eyes gaze intensely upon Dakhor as she listens solemnly to his tale. The glowing circlet adorning her brow sheds soft light on a pale scar trailing down from her left eye, as she rests back on her rear leg, hand resting easily, but without threat, on the hilt of her weapon, as if it were merely a tavern counter, or walking stick to lean upon.

Only when Dakhor concludes speaking does she softly answer, "Maitullë Ilserámelócimar. I bid you welcome to the home of the Silver Dragons, Aspirant." Her face breaks into a slight smile as she continues, "I regret that there is no dwarf here to recommend an alehouse to you, but I do know of at least one tavern the House Kundarak enclave. I...do not visit them often, myself. As to your other request, the leader of our Order will no doubt be along to speak to you presently. As it so happens, we have an inn of our own within our walls. Perhaps I can at least offer you some hospitality while you wait?"

    [/OOC]Nice intro! Quite dwarven ^_^ I liked it[/OOC]

Well met Collanáro! An inn you say, within the walls? A good start say I as I do not enjoy drinking in full armor, gauntlets and all. Ah I wish I was a mage... a dwarven mage never heard of such a thing!

...Ah yes an inn within the walls. I suppose I could start a small brewery in such a protected environment. I would require some knowledge about where certain herbs might be located, in the wild mind you as I don’t trust the dried store bought ones - also the location of some natural spring water wells - the ale is much in the choice of water you see.

Furthermore I would require a small but quiet storeroom where the ale would be able to mature in oak caskets for a small amount of time. As I feel for my future guild mates of a race with how to put it a lesser longevity I think a shorter maturing process would suffice here - say a mere 5 years should do...

As much as I like the RP intro, we'll still need your answers to the application questionnaire before entrance is granted. :)

Fair enough - most answers are in my text but a bit cryptic.

    - What brought you to our website?

    The Internet - Google

    - This recruitment process requires that we get to know you a little bit. Tell us about yourself:

Male – Sweden, the rest is my character really.

    - We have found that guild members have a better gaming experience if they use the forums and the events calender. This allows you to get game information and join guildies in quests as your RL time permits. Do you intend on being active on our website forums and Events Calendar?

Sure that is why joining a guild is for meeting people but like I said the time difference can create problems at times due to my location.

    - Once you learn how, we would like you to create events or RSVP for other scheduled events as your RL schedule permits. What are your thoughts on this?

As prob the majority will be in the states there might be better ways to advertise Europe bases events – although this could work for the US also as evening here is morning there – or afternoon for the east coast.

    - Most of our regular calendar events are high level raids and epics. Do you plan to participate in such events once you reach the appropriate level?

Of course this is why guilds are in the game.

    - Are you willing to give priority to guild-sponsored events?

    In game yes

    - Nearly all of our events are scheduled in the afternoon or evening EST/CST/PST. Events done outside of this time frame will require initiative on the parts of interested members in organizing them. Are you okay with this?

    Jupp

    - Have you been playing MMO's for a while or are you just getting started?

Quite a while – WoW, DaOC etc. Although my work and RL takes up too much time to continue with those subscription based games. I play mostly during holidays and on weekends.

    - We expect all players to submit and update their characters in our website ROSTER. Are you ok with this? After reading the above content, why do you think it might be important?

Sure - Many like to dabble in multiple characters I usually do not except for crafting bots etc that was favourable in other games. But I see the need to be able to know who is who.

    - What kind of character do you typically play? Tell us about your main character:

Usually the non-conventional magic user. Offensive healer or close combat arcane nuker.

    - If you violate ANY rules defined within the gaming EULA you will be removed from this community. You ok with this?

Of course – I would expect nothing less of a serious guild.

    - What time of day do you typically play? How often?

Vacation times way too much – non vacation times an hour there and some more on weekends. Evenings GMT +1

    - Are you affiliated with any other guilds?

    No

    - How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you?

I am quite fun at times and in character but it depends on the RPG mood of the guild – its nothing I strive for. The camaraderie is the most important helping out, having fun together.

    - Which of the characters listed in your forum signature (see STEP 3) do you play the most? What level is your main character?

Lvl 5 Cleric – my only character. I have lvled others but discared them. Wizard, Bard etc. I will stick with Cleric.

    - We are an Argonnessen Server guild within Dungeons and Dragons Online. Do you play on this server?
    Yes

I kind of figured you were taking the option of answering the questionnaire in character ^_^ Some of the questions really do require an OOC response though, I suppose, since as you say, it's difficult and you probably have to be somewhat cryptic to really answer them IC, if it's possible at all.

Well, if you're okay with the fact that we very rarely do things IC in game and have problems filling events outside of EST/CST/PST peak hours, you're more than welcome to join. We have a few Euro folks and some from Aussieland, so you could probably find people to play with.

Role play - its all fun but should never be forced. And as for the US - I like the more casual attitude stateside... Europe is too serious... Also I have a few friends inbound once they figure out what ehh role to play.
