Hiya, I'm looking for a guild and after reading your thread on the forums I think we could be good together. I'm thirty-something, married and live in the eastern timezone. I try to slip in an hour or two once or twice a weekday evening and then camp out in front of my computer all weekend. I'm not looking to rush through each quest and make an uber char. I like to take my time and find the hidden things. I would like to play a sharp-witted dagger-throwing halfling rogue. I have played the beta for several weeks now and have not made it past level 3 for any of my chars. I always want to go back and try something new in a quest or see what difference a change in skills will do. I also like hanging out in taverns and doing some light roleplay. If you think I would be a good fit lets talk.
Ahh the rogues are multiplying >< Welcome aboard we need all the trap detecting sneeky little rogues we can get
Thanks for dropping by please stay a while. It's always nice to have an aspiring rogue around even if we have to watch our coin purses.
Ahh good good another eastern time zone person! *cheers* Soon we shall assimilate all of you! bwahahaha! I need to lay of the ale.... *stares at his mug o' ale and shrugs*
HURRAY! We need more EST zoners here. welcome to the boards and hope you find what you are looking for here.
Sound like we're on the same page.... I want to absorb the game... not blow by it. =) Hell, I've waited so long for it.. I want to savor it! haha
I feel the same way! I was in this Hardcore guild for EQ2. And granted we were the "best" guild on the server. That is to say, we hit a TON of server firsts. Ya know, first to see this, first to level cap, first to defeat said monster ect. And although the people in the guild were great people, I didn't really have much fun. I just didn't fit in the guild at all. I was left so far behind because they were just grinding out everything and racing to the top. Within the first month of the game being released I no longer could group with anyone in my guild because I was so far behind in levels. My philosophy is now: I will see it all, and do it all, and kill it all; However, it will be on my own time! This is what will make a game enjoyable for me.
Yeah... I have always looked at D&D like a book I might read, where I participate in the story. I hope to get that feel from this experience.
I have been pleased thus far. I have only gone on a few missions but it seems very much immersive from what I have played. And at least its not like CoH/CoV where you keep going on missions but they are all cookie-cutter so that every mission looks exactly the same and you are doing exactly the same thing, over and over and over again.
