All the players I have teamed with seem to be able to take out many more breakables, crates etc, much faster than I am doing.
Timed it tonight on a simpler run, I click on a crate and there is a second or so lag before the character actually breaks it. Do not have the same lag on npc's though, often the lower level characters (kobolds) die off w/o my character moving his weapon I still get the red hp value of the strike so I am registering a hit. This is after I have targeted them and gotten the white hi light around them. I do take out breakables much faster with a ranged weapon as I have seen you guys do with thrown weapons. Maybe I should not sell off my throwables and hotbar a couple of them, to speed up a bit.

Would not think it is a connection issue I am doing hi speed cable. Comparably as fast as my old T1 connection. Don't think it could be my system, AMD 3200+ oclocked 5%, MSI k8t800 mobo ver. 1, 2G ram pc 3200, WD Raptors 74.4 G @ 10k rpm RAID 0, Nividia 5600.
I am planning a faster build but that is a bit later in the new year after closing on the new condo.

It is that I have noticed in groups others just fly through smashing objects 3 or 4 to my 1 using melee weapons. Was wondering if it is a different interaction setting in the control panel or what. I am currently using action/interact/steer on mouse 1.

On another subject, I teamed up with some non guild players Sunday night and kept up pretty well. This was after Sooke rescued me from a quest I was WAY over my head in, though I did not know it at the time.

MANY MANY thanks Sooke for your foresight and knowledge of what I was getting myself into and coming to my rescue.

They were some very fine players and in my humble opinion they could be assets to our guild. About my level, 4 and 5's of assorted class. So keep your eyes out for Dlady Dwolf, Gropey Denizzles and Neuce, as well as Aerial (hope I spelled that right) cannot remember the names of the other dwarf fighter or the hi level cleric from Australia, But they were all excellent players and all were quite personable. Also they took the time to help me with the jumping issue during an elite run of Edrun's quest. While having a laugh at my "retarded character" comments.

Was most impressed by the dwarf fighters as it was the 2 of them and myself tanking for the group. I do not remember the exact quest it was given by Lady Nepenthe in Bogwater Tavern I believe, but just a few days before I had been really kicked around by a Master Skeleton in STK (prior to the Guild STK quest Friday night) anyway, we turned a corner and there were 2 of those npc's this time. Took them out w/o any damage barely slowing down. Dwarves are some tough fighting machines. We also did Irestone inlet, Kobold assault, and several of the lower level runs at hard and elite to build C'Lords favor for Lady Dwolf. Quite a rogue there, wish I could jump like that.

Sorry if I kind of blogged out tonight, think I am fighting a cold. I can type between sneezes, not fight npc's.

although an enemy is literally an 'npc' they are typically not referred to as 'npc's'
npc (non-player characters) are typically people you interact with in the game that arent gamers/real people or mobs/enemies
    (fyi :) )

i think i know what yer talking about now, with the crate smashing thing
im assuming your sword and board
    after this last update
soemthing weird happend with the 1h swing animation
    basically what happened is this:
total hits/round time is the same, but it doesnt LOOK the same

so when yer running around hittin stuff, and you do taht 'wind up' thing youre actualy hitting the object/enemy when tyou should, but in the actual animation youll note that you hit it almost in the arc of your backswing...
its very difficult, imo, to get used to
    but i think thats it...
yer timing your hits by sight
and with this 'wind up bug' (animation issue) you mistime your hits

well i hope thats the issue, cause if not, i just wasted a lot of words :D

I think we are getting close, next time we are ingame together I will show you what I mean. Perhaps that is the best way to let you see.

Teamed up with the new member, sneekypetee, tonight, lotta balls, great scout, will grow to be an asset. Gotta learn to let the tanks take the fight.

We did pretty well in StK tonight, think I amimproving in role as a tank. Pally spells help to prop up the clerics.
