Q1: What brought you to our website? A: I actually did a coil run a few weeks ago with Doctorhoo and some other FC members. I joined the LS and FC after the run. Hence, here I am, trying to figure out what makes this FC tick and learn all of its secrets so I can take over the world. Q2: Do you plan to primarily Play FFXIV on a PS3/PS4 or PC? A: Currently on PS3, but as soon as the beta is over, PS4 all the way. Q3: What's your In Game Character Name? A: Synjin Diabolos Q4: What kind of characters do you typically play or what roles are you attracted to the most? (Tanks, DPS, Healers). What is your Current Primary Job on your Main Character? A: Typically DPS and Healer. But I am making a tank run this time around. Though pretty much just for the insta q’s. J Q5: Have you been playing MMO's for a while or are you just getting started? If you have played other MMOs, which specific ones have you played? What is your favorite part of a MMO? (Leveling, PvP, Raiding, Crafting, Achievements, etc) A: Played FFXI for about 6 years. Q6: Have you been affiliated with any other Free Companies (Guilds) on Diabolos? If so, which ones. A: Started out in Poisoned, but also spent some time in S.O.B. All people I ran with in FFXI. Q7: This recruitment process requires that we get to know you a little bit. Please tell us a little about yourself and how old are you. A: 40 yrs old, married for 6 years as of 03/29 (note to self: Buy wife a card), and I have a daughter that is almost 3. I work full time for a 3PL company as a solutions engineer. ~~~~~ Q: We have found that guild members have a better gaming experience if they use the forums. This allows you to get game information and join guildies in events as your real life time permits. Do you intend on being active on our website forums? A: I certainly do. Q: Once you learn how, we would like you to create events or RSVP for other scheduled events as your real life schedule permits. What are your thoughts on this? A: I think this is extremely helpful. Especially for folks like me that have very limited time to play. Q: We expect all members to submit and update their characters in our website roster. Are you okay with this? After reading the above content, why do you think it might be important? A: I am 100% fine with it. It gives the greater group visibility to what jobs and skills that you have available in order to benefit the team. Q: If you violate any rules defined within the gaming EULA, you will face disciplinary action up to and including removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A: Sure do. Q: OSD uses a TeamSpeak Server for Voice Chat. Are you familiar with this program? While it is not required that members be in TS while in the game, it will be required with End Game Raiding and encouraged for content with higher difficulty that needs more coordination. You don't have to speak, just listen. Just having everyone interact will make the run more enjoyable. What are your feelings on this? A: Fully agree. I do have TS3 on my iPhone and iPad and used it the first time during, what I believe was, the inaugural 1[SUP]st[/SUP] person view Titan HM run. Which by the way was an epic FAIL. But it was funny. Q: What time of day do you typically play? How often? A: With working full time, wife (who HATES this game, long story), daughter...my play time is extremely limited, so I try to squeeze as much content into my play times as possible. My play time is as follows: Monday I will try to get on from 8 – 10pm cst so I can run the Monday coil static (if this is still happening...though not sure with the 2.2 content now in effect), Tues – Thursday I will most likely only pop on for a few minutes. Fri & Sat 9 – 11pm cst. Sat & Sun 12 – 2pm cst. FYI...these times are subject to change without notice or prior written consent. J Q: We will be on the Diabolos Server. Does that match your Server Plans? A: Sure does. Q: How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A: I think I can help this community by making myself available for any and all FC events or just helping people out when I am on. I think the FC can assist me by helping me through content that I have not yet attempted (due to lack of play time) that will most likely be routine to many of the FC members. Q: OSD is generally a "casual, do it all" guild, meaning we welcome players from all playstyles and don't limit our focus to one playstyle in particular. We welcome PvPers, PvEers, Raiders, Roleplayers, Crafters, etc. For example, while we may offer weekly dungeon runs and/or raids, we are not a hardcore raiding guild that requires you to participate 5 or 6 nights a week. We also do not consider any one playstyle to be more important than another, all members of OSD are equal. For example, a hardcore PvPer or Raider will never be considered "more valuable" to the than a casual Roleplayer would be. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic? A: I am obviously fine with that, as I am more in that casual role player bucket.
