Q. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? A. I am interested in playing with you guys on Black Desert. I have a character named Falyn, a valkyrie, on Orwen. I also have a tamer named Cupid on Orwen but I haven't played her much yet because I have been having fun with my Falyn. Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. I am currently in college for Game Programming. In my free time I love playing mmos, reading books, and watching really dorky shows. I usually lean more towards fantasy open world mmos, I like those best. I also weirdly love learning Korean. I'm super bad at languages, but I've been having fun. I even got the chance to study abroad there for a couple months during a summer! If not having any balance what-so-ever is a super power, than that would be mine. I'm sure I trip over something, sometimes nothing, at least once a day. The only nefarious schemes I have would be procrastinating on homework for as long as I can without getting behind. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. I spent a good amount of time on the Black Desert forums looking for just the right guild for me. Since I go to school I really can't be more than a casual player, I try and get on at least once a day for a couple hours. I really enjoy guilds that have a great community, because for me games are more fun if you have good people to play with. I also wanted a guild that allowed for various types of play. I really don't enjoy pvp much usually and sometimes I can go a couple of days without fighting anything, just trading and crafting. I am always up for helping when I can because the best part of a community is being able to ask for and give help when needed. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. I went to the Black Desert guild forums and just started reading through the different types of guilds there. OSD really stood out to me. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones. A. I am usually on for a couple of hours each evening. My class schedule changes monthly, so my play schedule does change a bit based on that. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. I have played many mmos. I have been with Guild Wars/GW2 the longest probably mostly because of the good group of friends I have on there. Choosing my favorite game is difficult! Depending on my mood I like different games. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. I stick with PC mostly. I just enjoy the controls and being able to multitask. Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. I've been playing Guild Wars since Guild Wars 1, so probably almost 10 years. I have really enjoyed Warframe on and off for the past five years or so. I really enjoyed Blade and Soul when that came out last year and I was very active on it until my guild fell apart a couple months ago. I loved Star Wars The Old Republic. It had some of the most amazing features, like being able to choose how to respond in conversations. I played that on and off for several years as well. I love trying out new mmos, so I have had experience with a lot of different kinds. The ones that I find a great community on are the ones I stick with. Q. What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. I love games that have amazing character creation. I really like making a character my own. I also like having achievements to earn, bonus if the achievements are account wide. I hate doing the same thing over and over. Mostly I just like a wide open world with a lot of things to do. My "girlyness" shows through with my love of costumes and pets! I love collecting things. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. Not at the moment, Black Desert has been the game I have really been waiting for! Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. I already am on TS a lot. Most of my friends use it. As long as the calendar is kept up to date and the online community is active I have no problem checking in to a website to keep up with things in a guild. Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. I understand and agree with this rule. This was another reason I was interested in the guild. My best friend is gay and there have been many times that we have been harassed because of it. Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. While I am not really a PVP player I have no problem to come and help out when I am needed. I can't promise to be the best but I will work hard! Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. This is hard to say but I think a couple of different factors should go into it. Of course everyone wants the rare item, but I guess the first factor would be who needs it. If it is a rare weapon that you can't even use and there is another player who can and would really benefit from it, it should probably go to the other person. If everyone is already super de duper and no one has a need, then maybe the person in charge of the raid could receive it then allow members to bid on it if they want. Or it could go to the guild and be used as a prize item for something. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. I would have to say that bacon is way up there on the awesome spectrum. In my dreams bacon takes the form of... bacon. It's already awesomeness on its own why would I want it any other way...
