Recently joining DDO online I became quickly aware of the need to join a band of brothers to quest with. To further embroil myself in a community of mature gamers exploring the realms of stormreach finding Allies and building kinship with others who also like to stare a the beautiful skies, swimming the harbour, and hold the occasional jamming session with^^. The order of the silver dragons appeared to be the most valuable key I have sought. Anyway I digress: After playing games for a while I have now just really started MMOGS and this is the first I have subscribed to. Working in IT I can comfortably use and appreciate the resources available on this website. My typical character is definitely changeable ^^ depending on my mood. Ishlo my sorceress is developing well and I love the sorceress skills but I feel I definitely need schooling in developing her powers as she does spend a lot of time lying on her back...Please? Klaw well everyone has days when they want to shut the doors and go into battle to get bloody! He is Good as innately am I. I just split his role into barbarian also so he is strong... but not sure on a good route for his further progression. Scrubs should be developed soon as a good halfling cleric is always in need. Well I have not joined any other guilds, and am not sure how to select a server just usually use the keeper or devourer as they are the only options I see. Finally I play as much as I can.Working shifts I plays different times 24x7 usually either 7 am - 7pm or vice versa. Hope to be accepted soon, Dragons Bane Well I really hope to be one day
Edit real fast one time. Dragon, yer on the Euro game...we're on the US game. Different servers My brother lives in London, he and I are from Glasgow. I made him switch to the US game. Unfortunately thats the only way you can join this guild in DDO
ah! that explains why i didnt understand that part... and yes, were on the argo US server we do have guildies from denmark and germany playing with us but that required them buying a north american game version to get the correct game key to be able to log into the servers
oh yes.... darn annoying, this game isnt that big so they could easily merge the servers imo(and I dont feel more latency across the atlantic than what I hear from you guys anyway) yeah, I was wondering a bit about what you said there as well, with those server names alas, if you want to join us, you need to buy the american version and get in that way, thats what I did anyway not sure what you wanna do, but here's a link to the guild meet-up for europe DDO site if thats what you wanna do: LINKY if you are keen on the US server thing just post away here and we'll figure stuff out with ya regards, Vra - the first european in OSD
btw if you are keen on joining this great bunch of guys(and thus buy the US version of the game and all that) then before paying a load of money for purchase and shipment, you can get a 10day triel from on of us and meet us and chat and whatnot before you decide, I know I have at least one "refer a friend for 10 days" thingie left let us know what you decide
You dont actually have to physically have the American version in yer grubby little paws. My bro, whom is in Laaadaaan(London) bought the game after the trail version, but it was a bit of a pain. He had to have Turbine Customer Service involved to take his British credit card...but he's here and being all n00bish as only us Brits can.
Well, if you manage to get through all the ordeal of getting on US servers, you can't find a better group of players. If you aren't sure and don't know if you'll want to buy the US version just to hang out with us, we can set up a time in the Ventrillo system to chat with you and introduce ourselves a bit. That much will be pretty easy, and won't cost you a dime. Just let Sook know a good time, and i'm sure he can corral enough folks to make a good impression on ya.
Hi All, Thanks for the advice. Yes, from your website and replies I am convinced to check out the US version. So please if someone has a free trial to start me off..while the game gets shipped. If have my own bugbear ^^ it's the fact there are so few players!! It can be a real problem getting a crew together to lay seige on new frontiers. I hope the US servers have a higher poulation? BUt have met some cool peeps like you guys and have had many a giggle " The naturist warforged beach party" " The fastest Jumper to the lighthouse" All races allowed ^^ and of course who can forget " The invisible rogues - whodunnit? Amurder mystery 1 weekend!
Welcome to the Dragons! It's nice to see someone already dedicated enough to purchase another version of the game just to play with us. Awww, how special are we? (sorry, that sentimental femininity popped out). Anyway, in response to your question about population, I have noticed that DDO is one of the least populated MMORPGs that I have ever played. I actually like it that way though, because there are less people to annoy you and my old slow computer doesn't lag so much from everybody flying past me. Also, I don't think I have run a single PUG since I joined the guild. We have such a great guild here that I simply am not interested in grouping with anyone else anymore, and I have not had to because my guildies are always here for me. (I love those guys!) Well, I hope all goes well with the acquiring of your US version, and I hope to see you in game soon!!
IM in!!! Where is everyone? OK OK OK Im IN!! I'm up on Argonessen as a new character Oruchimaru DragonsBane Yes its a mouthfull. So how do I join the guild to chat with others on etc?? Obviously Im a total noob and now lvl1 agin. Can anyone help Speak soon DB
Dont let the Englishman join!!!!!! Seriously tho...gotta talk to one of the officers, Im not even sure they OK'd yer application. I think they all thought it was not an option since you were on the UK/Euro servers. Officers include, but are not limited to, Souk, Xouk, Sook, Syrbrice, Brycet, Loccke, Draygoon, Thraxes, Goodspeed, Agrestic, Damaged, Corriin, Yndrofiun, Yndrofian, Xuok and, of course, the characters in my sig, while Im not an officer and I have no powers to invite ya into the guild...you may find Im pretty freakin' awesome. Good luck Englishman.
I got no problem with it, especially since he went and bought another copy of the game just to chill with us. Just hit up the roster on the main page, and assuming you have your citizenship and whatnot all squared away here at the site, and have your character(s) listed in the roster, just open up your social tab (the one with the two faces on it) and click the "Who" tab. Sort by Guild, and scroll down until you find someone with "Order of the Silver Dragons" listed next to their name. Let them know who you are, and ask that they check for an officer to get you officially invited. The roster is very important, as most every officer should confirm that with any new members just to make sure we don't get every joe shmoe pestering us. No roster means no invite, and it only takes a few seconds to do.
Have citizenship OK. Rolled with JonBoy but... No officers were there to invite me to join Ahh well maybe I have to jump through a few more hoops first... Has Hazing really been banned??? Haha Hope to catch someone next time. Thanks Jonboy for trying and for crawling through a few dungeons carrying me on your back! Cheers
since you likely play during our daytime hours, post a good time to catch you and myself or Vra will try to help ya out, after Syr comes in here and says its ok (no doubt he will, he's a pretty nice and easy going kinda guy). Vra lives over there in Europe, and i'm in college, so i can get on sometimes during the day.
