Q. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? A. I am currently playing DDO, Edric Stormborn, paladin on the Agronessen server. Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. Wow where to begin and not bore you to tears. I have been playing pen and paper D and D since I was 13, and have been playing MMO since Ultima Online came out. If that does not age me nothing else will. I have played almost every MMO out there. I enjoy playing MMOs because I play them with my family, my older brother and two nephews also play DDO and it's a great way to stay connected and have a lot of fun together. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. Guilds are kind of like an extended family and Guild mates help each other out in times of need. I like being part of a group of like-minded individuals who have the same goals and like to help each other out. I want to part of that and look to help the members of OSD also receive help in time of need. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. My nephew who applied lead me back to OSD I was a member a long time ago I am glad he lead me back. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones.. A. I play almost daily it all depends sometimes mornings, but mostly evening time that is when my family is free to play so like 1900 PST most often. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. I have played so many it is hard to say which the best is. I guess the best way to sum it up would be that any game I was playing at the time was the best. It filled a need. I find sometimes all of us get burned and need a change of pace. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. 100% PC gamer. Q.Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. I started out in Ultima Online then moved to EverQuest and then onto WOW. I have also played Lord of the Rings online, Star Wars the Old Republic, Star Trek, DDO, Elder Scrolls, Diablo, Path of Exile, Dark Age of Camelot, Archeage, Rift, Neverwinter, and Age of Conan, all of them over the past 20 years. Q.What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. I guess my favorite part is leveling, community, roleplaying and exploring. I am not much of a PVPer because I suck at it and crafting never really interested me either. Q.Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. Not yet but who knows..... Q.OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. Event calendars are a good way to get the word out about upcoming events. I have TeamSpeak and at the moment just use it to talk to family when we play but I find it extremely useful in playing in raids and other events that require coordination it is a wonderful tool. Q.OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. 100% Q.We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. It is always a balance between real life and playing, but I do understand that if you make a commitment to play with others and you have a class or special build that sometimes you will be called up to step up and help out when you can. Q.Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. It should go to the person whom it would benefit the most always need before greed no matter how uber. Q.Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. Bacon is awesome, it manifest in my dreams as the ruler of the world bacon for life!
