I'm interested in playing BDO with you guys, my in game family name is Crocketeer, realm Uno. Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. Well i do have this scheme to create a hive mind with cats, and we'll take over the world, but that's still in the planning stages. Joking aside, I work from home, due to being sick with a chronic condition. So I have too much free time on my hands. I'm married to a wonderful man, and we have 3 adorable kitties, who will, no doubt, meow while I'm on TS, sorry in advance. My hobby, probably obvious, is gaming. I play games all the time, from browser games, to having BDO on in the background while working, and pulling an all nighters playing FPSs. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. I want to join OSD, because I'm looking for a good guild and community to play with on BDO. I'm new at the game, and have only been playing two weeks, but I find it a lot funner when I can play with friends, and other people. The guilds I've been apart of so far are very inactive, and not very communicative. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. I saw your post on Black-Desert.com, as I was looking for an active guild to join, friendly guild to join. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones. A. I'm in CST, and my typical play time is between 10am-6pm, not that I'm always playing during that time, but it's the time when I am available to play. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. Wow, this is a tough question... I've been playing games since I was 5, so that's alot of games to choose from, with 22 years of gaming.... I guess cause i have to choose, i'll go with FFII since it was the first game I can recall adoring. Must have played it 3 times over at least. Honestly tho, I have loved a lot of games at some point or another, from Zelda, to Duke Nukem, even SimCity, so it's really hard to say what was the best game I ever played. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. Just PC at the moment, don't have any consoles. Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. I've played a lot of MMOs, My first MMO was MapleStory when that first came out in 2003/2004, but I went on to play Silk Road, Guild Wars 1 & 2, Gods War, and some others that I've forgotten the name of at this point. After playing all those I got bored of MMORPGs and went on to other types of MMOs, such as Haven and hearth, which I got really into and played for about 5 months, I also played the 'sequel' called Salem for a few weeks. I played Maple sotry for about 5 years on and off but mostly off. The other games I played for a month or less. Q. What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. Generally my favorite part is playing with others, enjoying any activities with a group of people is always fun, so no matter what it is, I'll enjoy it if I'm doing it with others generally. But on my own, I generally like achievements, crafting and completing quests. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. There's no future MMO that I'm aware of that I'm looking forward to. Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. I like that OSD use a Calendar to coordinate guild events, seems like it'll be easy for everyone to know when events are taking place and how many people are participating, which is really nice. I plan on being active on the forums and TS, if we all get along. It's hard to say how thing will turn out, but as long as we all get along, I'd really like to be active here. I'm a bit shy on things like TS at first, so we'll just have to see if I meld with the group well or not. Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. I understand and agree. I'm a pretty chill person, so none of these things will be an issue with me. Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. I'm totally okay with helping out on any guild activities when I am available to, but I'd hope that you guys will understand if I'm new at certain activities, and that I may be bad at them, at least at first. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. Honestly, i hate this sort of thing, because someone(s) always feel cheated no matter on who gets it. It'd be cool if you had some sort of turn system, but that would be unrealistic, so I'd say whoever the majority of the group agrees on, should get the item. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. None, I'm pescatarian, the only meat I eat is Fish, and other sea creatures....mmmmm Crab
Glad you made it to our gates, but I have some bad news, we're on the Orwen server. It's in the title on the recruitment page, so you might have missed it. I wouldn't want you to give up two weeks worth of playing time, but if do want to jump servers, we'll welcome you in.
