    COMMON SENSE

-Be courteous and respectful not only to fellow guild members, but to all members of the gaming community.

-It should NEVER be assumed that a game content was completed by any member of a group. The group leader should very nicely ask if there are any first timers. This is asked to avoid any spoilers being revealed. The pace of the group should be decided on before the session begins. If you do not feel comfortable with the agreed to pace or suggested communication tools or methods, we encourage you to simply find a different group. Once the session begins, we expect all members to respect the agreed to rules once decided.

-Flaming posts within the forums, and/or chat in game or voice chat content that is being viewed by others as hostile and/or "uncomfortable" should be taken into a private forum (/tell or PM's).

-Respect the Silver Dragon’s reputation. You represent our community in every one of your interactions with other player characters. In a sense, everyone acts as an ambassador of this guild; we need not create any unnecessary conflict.

-No quest/objective spoilers (unless explicitly allowed by the group). No one likes to have a movie’s ending ruined, just like most don’t like to have the plot of a quest or objective explained to them before actually experiencing it. When gaming under most circumstances treat quests and objectives as if it were the first time completing it.

-Tolerate role-playing. If the rest of the group is role-playing go along with it. It doesn’t matter if you’re unfamiliar with role-playing, try it out don’t be shy.

-Have fun! There is no need to argue or get upset over little things like items or experience points.

-Avoid spamming in game communication channels with noise. If another guild member asks you to stop, please do.

-If you don't like the group you are playing with, finish the session and then find a new group. Do not start a flame war about the merits of the gaming style of other people. We all have different styles and there is bound to be conflict. Accept it and move on to find those who have a more compatible style.

-Behave on public forums as you would in our forums.

-If you have a conflict with another guild member, try to resolve it in a polite manner. If that fails, contact a guild officer to help resolve the issue. If one is not available, walk away from the situation.

-The guild officers help to maintain the focus of the organization. They may step in to mediate conflict. They will, like the rest of us, make mistakes. Always keep in mind they are trying to do what is best for the guild and act accordingly.

-If you think a certain behavior might be frowned upon by the guild, then do not do it. Ask first.

-Quest and obejective spoilers should not be directly included in forum posts. Even with the inclusion of a SPOLIER warning at the top, posts that contain spoiler information limit the full participation of the guild in that forum.

-Keep all disagreements out of guild chat and the forums. If you have a disagreement and need help settling it PM a guild officer.

    LANGUAGE

-No language which is explicitly meant to personally attack someone will be tolerated (i.e. no racist, sexist, or threatening language).

    -No ‘L33t’ speak.

-Keep swearing in voice chat at a minimum, as others may have children/parents/roommates in their place of residence that may be sensitive to that sort of thing.

-Concerning euphemisms and alphanumeric substitution: words like friggin and freakin are acceptable, whereas shite is not. S%$t and SHT is also unacceptable.

-This is a guild where we support and help each other, not point out other's faults and debase each other.

    FAIR PLAY

-No exploiting. Game developers make mistakes just like the rest of us. Exploiting these flaws is not a respectable practice and hurts our guild’s reputation.>>

-No cheating. This isn’t just guild policy, its official game policy. Don’t cheat.

-No systematically plotting to overthrow the houses of Stormreach, whether through the aid of powerful magical artifacts or by forming alliances with the giants, and drow. Sorry to all the chaotic evil sorcerers out there.

-When adventuring be mindful to share all gatherd loot and content.

-There is a real world beyond the game. When grouping a player may have to step away from the computer for a real world situation. If you are going to be AFK in the middle of a session, let the rest of the group know so that they can decide if they should wait or continue without you. The choice should be up to the group that is still in game.

-If you only have a limited amount of playing time, let those in your group know in advance so that they can try to accommodate your schedule.

    Policy on Guild Participation

-All members are expected to have a registered account within our website.

-All members are expected to be aware of all guild directives, policies, organizational command structure, events, and any content produced within the guild forums.

-All members are expected to think of the Order (community) before ones self.

-Helping your brothers and sisters with any in game and out of game (website/forums) needs related to OSD.

-The official guild communication tools will be stated within the Silver Dragon Herald forums. Members are expected to use these approved tools as needed.

Penalties for Violating the Code of Conduct and Charter

-Any reported violations of the Code of Conduct will result in penalties.

-The first violation will result in a warning to the member.

-The second violation will result review amongst the officers. The strongest possible punishment is removal from the Guild.

-Some actions merit immediate removal from the guild.

-Should a member be removed they have the right to request to be readmitted into the guild by a vote from the guild officers.

-An incident review closed to the public. Supporting comments in regard to the review will be solicited in advance.

-All code of conduct issues will be resolved within 7 days of initial complaint.

-All complaints involving a violation of the code of conduct must be made within 24 hours of the actual event.

-Complaints are to be sent via PM to a guild officer.
