Greetings Dragons! My name is Bryce and I am a warrior of Aquilonia. I have been in your company for many moons but I have not officially told you of my exploits and adventures. Let this record show the small amount of fame I have gained in Hyboria. - What brought you to our website? About 2 years ago in DDO, I saw a member running around with the Order of the Silver Dragons tag under his name. I have a fondness for Silver Dragons (there is one tattoo'd on my right arm), so when I began looking for a guild on the DDO forums. I saw Sook's post and came here. - This recruitment process requires that we get to know you a little bit. Tell us about yourself. Well, I'm a father or 2, Sonya (8) and Liam (5). I have a lovely wife that allows me to play computer games till all hours of the night. My job is a technical service representative for Sherwin Williams Industrial Coatings Division, i.e. I watch paint dry.... - Do you enjoy Role Playing in-game? Yes. A little roleplaying in-game definitely adds to the immersion of the experience. I'm a light roleplayer cause I eventually spaz out and revert to my natural self if the situation extends my creativity. - Which online game interests you? (AoC or DDO) We expect all of our AoC players to use Ventrilo while they are in game. Is this ok with you? AoC right now. I play DDO and it's my first ever MMO. Due to time constraints and attention span, I tend focus on one game system at a time. I'm sure I'll play DDO again, but right now I've caught the AoC bug. - Do you intend on being active on our website forums and Events Calendar? Yes. I do have some RL commitments and schedule issues so events are preferable to me. - Once you learn how, we want you to create events or RSVP other scheduled events as your RL schedule permits. What are your thoughts on this? How frequent do you figure on creating an event for others to participate in? You comfortable promoting these events in the Ventrilo and/or guild chat channels? I will try to create events every 1-2 weeks. I've found if you give folks at least 5 days, they can schedule around something a little easier. Sometimes people's schedule/level/quest just don't mesh so putting up a more general event is easier in AoC. Promoteing in vent and in guild chat is no problem. - Have you been playing MMO's for a while or are you just getting started? 2 years of DDO and a month and a 1/2 of AoC. - Do you feel comfortable with the website and it's resources? nah, it blows... Just Kidding! One of the finest gaming websites I've come across. - We expect all players to submit and update their characters in our website ROSTER. Are you ok with this? After reading the above content, why do you think it might be important? The roster is important because it lets you know which toon is owned by which guildie. If there is a question who is who, you can just pop to the site and look up the alt to make sure. - What kind of character do you typically play? Tell us about your main character? Typically I start off with melee classes. They are usually a little easier to learn a game with due to their simplicity of just swinging a sharp object at a big nasty. I then go for a support class that the guild may need in the future for groups and such. My main in AoC is Bryce, a level 69 Guardian. He is strictly sword and board right now with a crossbow for pulling. - If you violate ANY rules defined within the gaming EULA you will be removed from this community. You ok with this? Of couse, would expect nothing less. - What time of day do you typically play? How often? Usually available around 8:30pm EST to 12ish. On most nights. Weekends are dependant upon family plans first. - Are you affiliated with any other guilds? No. - How do you think you can best help this community? I will try to help the community by being amusing in vent, helpful in-game, and supportive on-site. - Which of the characters listed in your forum signature (see STEP 3) do you play the most? What level is your main character? Bryce, a level 69 Aquilonian Guardian. - We are an Argonnessen Server guild within Dungeons and Dragons Online. Do you play on this server? For Age of Conan we play on the Cimmeria server. Do you play on this server? Yes. - For Age of Conan, we require that your are familiar with our Guild Structure and Advancement described here (Age of Conan Guild Advancement). Are your prepared for your journey to Vassal? Tell us what you think of this quest ahead of you? I am prepared for these quests and look forward to the challenge!
As I roamed the countryside looking for bandits I came upon this wonderful keep, a bastion of tranquility.... While investigating my forgotten past, I got a quest from a woman in Old Tarantia to seek out a cult operating in Stygia. There I found cultists, scorpions, and an evil ceremony where a Blood Defiler was to be summoned. Fortunately I thwarted their plan by some carefully placed Lotus. This enabled me to slay the beast, with Mitra's help. My guidmates and I entered the Sanctum of the Burning Souls. There we fought our way to the Aquilonian Warlord and dispatched him forthwith. Many tough fights were had in this picturesque dungeon, but I and my comrades prevailed. This quest was mostly for completion of my guildmates since I had already done so previously. There was good loot in there but I forgot who got the special goodies.
Welcome Sir! I can only hope I someday gain the fame and noteriety that you have. I am your humble servant! /grovel lol.
I think the paint fumes have gone straight to his head which, it seems, will make him a perfect candidate for this group. I personally think if he'd have eaten some lead paint chips when he was younger he would be officer material.... =)
Maybe that should be in the recruitment questionaire. "Have you at any time in your life eaten lead paint chip, or other lead products?" "If so, how would you feel about becoming an officer?"
