Q. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? Black Desert Online (PC) Realm: Orwen Current characters: Lv 25 Warrior - Vaelkyrian Lv 15 Tamer - Yyvenna Lv 10 Witch - Laetascia Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) 38 M, Canadian (Greater Vancouver, BC). I used to work in sales and marketing for a snack food manufacturer but I decided to go back to school to retrain for a new career. I'm in my last semester of a Health Information Management program. No pets at the moment but I'm a dog lover. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? I'm looking for a great group of people to explore BDO with. I'm easy going and I'm willing to assist my peers when I can. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) I came across OSD's recruitment post on black-desert.com, and after reading through the guild's charter, I decided to apply. The guild's philosophy seems to align well with what I'm looking for and I also like the guild's name. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones. Weeknights (18:00 onward PST) and Weekends (whenever I wake up) Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? Red Dead Redemption. I grew so attached to John Marston and his story that the ending left me utterly gutted. Not only was the story great but RDR has such a beautiful world to get lost in (much like BDO). The Dragon Age franchise - love the lore. Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? Primarily PC or Android. Occasionally, PS3 and DS. Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? My very first MMO was WoW: Cataclysm. I enjoyed WoW and I suppose that I have a soft-spot for it though I only played until MoP. I've been subscribed to FFXIV: ARR since its launch. I play over on Gilgamesh. I also make occasional stops in SWTOR, ESO, GW2 and TSW. Q. What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) I like exploring, leveling and crafting. I enjoy watching PvP and BDO's looks especially frenetic. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? EVE but it looks like it will be a headache to learn. Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? If I become a member, I will participate on the forum and I like event calendars, I'm comfortable using them. I've never used Teamspeak before  Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? Yes, I do agree. Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? I will gladly spill the blood of enemies alongside my comrades. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? I trust that the raid leader will make a fair decision when deciding who will receive the item. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? Bacon is so awesome that, just today in fact, I gratefully ate a cold plate of leftover bacon - and it was still delicious.
Hello and welcome to the OSD family. All your permissions have been set. I am in game now if you are available. If not, please just hit us up when your ready.
Thank you for the approval I'm looking forward to meeting you all in-game soon. * I've tried to whisper the few character names that I've seen in BDO signatures but no luck finding someone online for now. I'll leave myself connected in-game on Vaelkyrian in case anyone is able to send through a guild invite.
