In Game Characters: Legal - Spellslinger - Intend to heal Salurto - ? - Intend to be alt Q: What brought you to our website? If it was another site, please let us know where you heard of us. A: I knew Yurei from befor he joined OSD, and I headed one of the allied guilds in FFXIV - <Milk and Cookies> Q: This recruitment process is a great opportunity to get to know you a little bit. Please tell us a little about yourself personally and add in your past MMO experience. A: I like to laugh a lot, I make a lot of jokes and can tease and be teased back. Past MMOs...I've played a lot. Most Recently EVE-Online and Final Fantasy XIV. I spent the most time with EQ2, raiding through RoK and TSO. Q: What time of day do you typically play? How often? A: EDT evenings and weekends, 4+ nights/days per week, 2-3 hours per session. Q: What kind of character do you typically play? Tell us about your main character, and please list any alts that you will be bringing into the guild as well. A: I typically enjoy playing healers or tanks. My main character is Legal, because I feel with the Aurin you should make it clear you're not an underage girl. She's going to have bat-wing-ears and big eyes, and be a healer-type spellslinger. Salurto will be an alt, I'm not sure what class but I won't play on Sal as much. Q: Are you affiliated with any other guilds? A: I previously headed <Milk and Cookies> in FFXIV, but I don't play that anymore. I also am in an EVE Corp called "Mega Gloabl Compucon" as Elharanette. We like in NPC-controlled Nullsec, Stain. It's a rough life sometimes, but I enjoy it and the corp is entirely people who know one another in real life. Q: What is it you're looking for in a guild? Why do you want to join OSD? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A: In a guild I'm usually looking for people to socialize with and people to group with when I join a guild. I can best help this community by giving insightful advice/strats specific to my class or encounters I've done, as well as trying to be helpful with providing info i find out about Wildstar, plus by generally being a good person to group with, and being incredibly funny (I swear I'm funny!) Q: We have found that guild members have a better gaming experience if they use the forums and the events calender. This allows you to get game information and join you guildmates in-game as a group. Members should RSVP for scheduled events as their real life schedule permits. Creating events is good for the community and is encouraged whenever possible. What are your thoughts on this? A: It's a neat system and the guild I was in for part of EQ2 ( <Avalorien> on Antonia Bayle) used a similar system for events and raids. It was enjoyable because people would have a sort-of face book discussion about upcoming in-game stuff. Q: OSD is generally a "casual, do it all" guild, meaning we welcome players from all playstyles and don't limit our focus to one playstyle in particular. We welcome PvPers, PvEers, Roleplayers, Crafters, etc. For example, while we may offer weekly raids, we are not a hardcore raiding guild that requires you to raid 5 or 6 nights a week. We also do not consider any one playstyle to be more important than another, all members of OSD are equal. For example, a hardcore PvPer will never be considered "more valuable" to the guild than a casual Roleplayer would be. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic? A: I'm perfectly fine with this. I've raided in the past and sometimes I enjoy pvp, but for Wildstar I'm planning to play at my own pace. I also don't think gaming should become a chore or job, so the idea that there's no innate status tied to your playstyle or gametime is awesome. Q: With the previous question in mind...we will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role, or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and ven the playing field a little. Are you okay with this? Any additional thoughts on this topic? A: *even =) I'm fine with this especially because I prefer to be a "role" player over a dps in most cases. My only thoughts on this is I'm not interested in being called or texted to come play a game. Q: If you violate any rules defined within the gaming EULA, or the OSD Code of Conduct you will face disciplinary action up to and including removal from this community. Do you understand and agree with this rule? A: Yes, Absolutely. Q: Is bacon awesome? Why? A: Yes, because it's fried pig butt, and having eaten many portions of many pigs, I will say that bacon reigns supreme because it stands on it's own as a delicious meat, but it can also be wrapped around other things, hopefully already delicious (such as shrimp) and improve their effectiveness as deliciousness. Bacon is a true team player; it's a food force-multiplier....This does come with bacon, right?
