Q 1: Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us? A:FFXIV Q 2: Do you currently have characters playing in game? If so, What is the name of your in game character and what server are they on? A:Ruadhan Owhain, Diabolos Q 3: Guilds can serve many roles, and as with most things, expectations matter. In order to get a better feel for whether this is a good fit, we would like to know what you look for in a guild. A:Teamwork is probably the most inportant thing, members who are willing to make personal sacrifices for the good of the guild. Respect among members and especially from officers is also important. An active TS/Discord/whatever is a huge bonus. I'll be on there whenever I am playing. And of course just a fun group of people with whom to play. Q 4: When and How often do you usually play? This is so we know when to look for you in game and get you in the Guild. (Please add your time zone in the answer) A:Early mornings, usually starting at ~5am EST, and early evenings ~5pm EST. Sundays and Thursdays all day at somewhat random stretches. Q 5: Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played them? Please share one of your favorite memories in a MMO you have played. A:I played DAOC for many years, even before that I was online playing various MUDs. Aion for a couple years, Elder Scrolls online for about a year, SWTOR also about a year. Then recently ArcheAge for a few months, then Black Desert for another few. Before ArcheAge I was already playing FFXIV but needed a break and have been gone for a year or so and have returned, bitterly cursing ever having left. My favourite gaming memory is probably from AA though, despite its obvious and glaring flaws it did do some things well. My two guild leaders and I were carring packs, thus moving very slowly, into a new area and trying to get across a fast moving river to claim some land for our housing, it was fricking hilarious. Q 6: What is the best game you have ever played and why? A:Honestly I love the polish of FFXIV. It doesn't exactly break new ground, but what it does it does exceedingly well. Q 7: Are there any upcoming games you're interested in playing? A:Camelot Unchained Question Category - Community OSD is a group of folks that has gamed together for more than ten years, many of us consider this group as extended family. The following questions help us to understand who YOU are as a person, not just a gamer. As we are more than just a gaming community we like to get to know a little about the folks that want to be part of it. Q 8: OSD advertises on various gaming websites, Facebook, Twitter, and in the games that we are playing. The following questions will help us know what formats are working and where we can improve. Who or What brought you to our Gates? A:An ad on the Diabolos forums for FFXIV Q 9: There are many ways to engage and get the full guild experience with OSD. How often do you see yourself using the Forums / Discord rather than in-game to interact with the community? A:Often. I am always on Discord when I play, and I can get a little verbose with forum posts from time to time, but I used them more often as an officer, TBH. Q 10: Please tell us a little about yourself. No need to be too explicit. We don’t need your home address or shoe size. Let us know about your hobbies if you have them. Do you have family? Pets? Work? Do you plan to conquer the world by using Lucky Rabbit’s feet or some other crazy idea? (This is probably one of the biggest questions on this application as it lets you tell us about you.) A:Basically I do three things, Hair, MMOs, and excercise. I am a succesful hair artist in my city, am a bodyweight/calisthenic workout fanatic, and am very much into health and nutrition, and obviously spend a lot of time playing MMOs on my computer. Also I am an excellent cook, and when I am not watching my diet am a very adventurous foodie. Sometimes I drink a bit too much. Q 11: Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A:Bacon is awesome in all manifestations but the smell...my gods the delicious mouth-watering smell of frying bacon.
