What you want to do is go to the /who panel, under the LFM panel (which is the button with the faces on it) Sort by "guild", look for someone in The Order of the Silver Dragons, if that person happens to be Squidgie, go to the nearest mailbox and send him all yer loot. JOKE! JOKE! Seriously, sort by guild name and shoot someone a /tell. How do you shoot someone a /tell? Hit yer enter button, type in /tell<space>*name* and yer message. To reply, hit enter, type /r then your message.
Yeah gumdoc, I've got you on a couple of my toons friends list but I seem to miss when you're on. Don't worry, we'll hook up. =)
I see you're in the guild now Gum. Slight issue. Squidgie didnt receive any lootzorz...any idea why that is?
Yes, two reasons: 1. I don't know where to find the mailbox. 2. I don't know the currency system yet (if a plat is 10 gold, why do I show 20 plat and 248 gold in my bag? Shouldn't it only go up to a maximum of 9 gold before it then rolls up to a plat? So, in other words, shouldn't I show 48 plat and 8 gold rather than 20/248?) 3. I don't have much money. Ok, I lied that was three reasons. They all work for me
The game will round up to the nearest pp, then gp, etc. for transactions like selling to a vendor or auction house, however, any gold you loot from a chest will remain gold, any silver and copper from boxes and barrels will remain SPs and CPs, respectively. As far as how many of this is that? ...every different coin is a factor of 10 (Sook, I hope yur reading this! ) IE 1PP = 10GP = 100SP = 1000CP in American currency think of them as $10, $1, $.1 (dime), $.01 (penny)
To answer #2 - Ive no idea why it doesnt automatically change. Not sure why you can have 3000 gold in yer bag rather than 300 plat. To answer #1 - There is a mailbox close to the Auction House in the harbour, one next to the bank in the Marketplace and one in each of the houses (Phiarlan, Jorasco, Deneith, Kundarak and The Twelve.) Whenever yer not sure where you should be going open yer map and look at the icons. If you click on them and close yer map a small white arrow will show you where you should be running to. Only problem with that is it shows you a straight line to where you need to be. Doesn't work well in places like the Desert. To answer #3 - NO EXCUSE! Prepare for a severe thrashing in PvP!! Pee Ezz - What level are ya Gumdoc? Im feena be playing my ranger pretty soon, hes only 6 atm. Mebbe I share some of my vast wealthyness of knowledge and run a few quests with ya.
Hi there! Just thought I'd say hi and welcome you to the guild and DDO. I'm Talna. I have a bunch of low level toons (mainly because I like trying new toons out). Please feel free to look me up in game and ask for help. I was in your shoes about a year ago and understand how confusing it can be to figure things out. Like you, I enjoy taking my time through quests and really exploring them. You never know what you'll find! Looking forward to running some quests with you!
Thanks Talna and Bee. I'm currently only level 2 (slow leveling when you solo quests) so I may not be much fun for a level 6, but I'll try to get up a level or two this weekend. BTW, how do I enter the Marketplace? Got some message about needing a pass from someone. What's inside there?
firstly, to get into the market place you can bribe a guard (no fun there) OR you can defeat the kobold infestation of the Waterworks. the harbormaster is very displeased with all the kobolds runnin around the sewers and interfering with this facility. if you were to help eradicate them, im sure he would be duly impressed and would give you leave to enter the marketplace. after all, he cant have everyone runnin around stormreach willy nilly. secondly, the REST of the world is inside the market place!
