Q. Which game(s) are you currently interested in playing with us, and do you currently have characters playing in game? If so what are their names? Which realm? Which platform? A. Final Fantasy XIV. Diabolos. Veteran WoW player. Fresh to FF Q. This is the getting to know you portion of the questionnaire. Please tell us a little about yourself. (Hobbies?Family? Pets? School? Work? Any super hero or super villain abilities, nefarious schemes we should know about?) A. 27, male, currently going to school in Denver. Spent 6 years in the Air Force, moved to Colorado and got my degree in EET. Other than spending time with my fiance and focusing on school, most free time goes towards gaming. Q. Why do you want to join OSD? What is it you are looking for in a guild? How do you think you can best help this community? How can this community best help you? A. I'm looking for a chill group of people to hang out with after a stressful day of the real world. The way Doctorhoo presented your community immidiately caught my eye. I'm new to FFXIV, looking to laugh and have a good time. Q - What led you to our website and ultimately to filling out this application? (Which friend? Website? In game ad? Psychic magnetism?) A. Browsing recruitment forums. I'm looking for quality over quantity. Q. What is your typical game play schedule like? Please include times and time zones. A. Currently live in Denver, CO. MTN time. I'm in school daily, on every evening. Online every weekend. Q. What is the best game you have ever played and why? A. Oh man, that's a toughy. The game most played is prolly WoW, 8+ years, but just because of the social aspect of an MMO. IMO, best games, pure artwork: Bioshock, Portal 2 / Portal. Might sound kinda silly, but these three games really helped me out during a dark time in my military career. Oh, and Dark Souls Q. What platforms do you usually game on? If not just a PC, which consoles? A. PC. Have an Xbone just for Halo MCC/5. Q. Tell us a little about your experience with MMOs. Which MMOs have you played and how long have you played for? A. World of Warcraft. Started in BC, tanked throughout WotLK, swithed to Resto Shammy for Cata and MoP. Didnt play WoD. Q. What is your favorite part of an MMO and why? (Leveling, PvP, raiding, community, roleplaying, crafting, achievements, exploration, etc) A. Endgame raiding is what I'm looking for. Questing if the storyline is submersive. Q. Are there any future MMO's or multiplayer games you're interested in playing? A. I've been playing The Division as well. I have Black Desert, but it lacks the PvE im looking for. If Legion is good I might dab in that. If Final Fantasy becomes my main focus, who knows? I also play HotS, Rainbow Six Siege. Q. OSD is more than just a guild in a single game. We are a community of gamers that come together through the forums and Teamspeak. Do you plan on being active on the forums and use TS? What are your thoughts on using event calendars on the forums to coordinate guild events? A. Yes, if I commit to an event, I'll make time for it. Q. OSD has earned and prides itself on a reputation of respect, maturity and integrity. Please read the OSD CODE OF CONDUCT. If you violate any of these rules you jeopardize the reputation of our community and will face disciplinary action up to, and including, removal from this community. Do you understand, and agree with this rule? A. Yes Q. We will never force you to participate in any activity or event that falls outside your playstyle of choice. However, from time to time, you may be asked to help the guild out if we are short on a particular role or just need to fill up an empty group spot. For example, if you happen to be a tank built character, and we need to fill out a raid spot with a tank, we may ask you to come along and help out the raid. Or if we happen to be outnumbered in a PvP battle, we may ask you to come help us bolster our numbers and even the playing field a little. What are your thoughts on this topic? A. Lets roll. I'm competent, as well as a team player. Q. Pretend you are raiding with the guild and after the final boss fight an uber fantastic, stupendous, ultra rare, sparkly item drops. Who do you think should receive this item and why? A. If you're rolling with a dedicated core group; depends on the gear, tanking/healing gear always goes to the main tank/healer. Off tank/heal if not a upgrade for main. DPS gear, free roll. If they're pugs in your group, members always get priority for loot over randoms. Q. Is bacon awesome? What form does bacon manifest in your dreams? A. Yes. Candied. With a nice brown sugar glaze.
I haven't seen an in-game application to the FC from Alota Fajitas, yet. When you're online, you can send an OSD officer (Katya Threadbare, Andrameda Hoo, Caer Sing, A'ltani Khiryu or Doctor Hoo) a /tell and we'll get you into the in-game FC.
I missed your application. Very Sorry, I dropped the ball and just missed it among the others. Welcome to OSD! Doc Have you gotten in the FC yet? If you haven't got in the In game FC yet, take a loot at this thread: http://silverdragons-lair.net/showthread.php?23966-New-Recruits-Read-This
