Greetings. I was pointed to your site by a post on DDO forums. I'm an East Coaster and fairly new to the game. I'm looking for companions to explore Stormreach. It's a pretty lonely game without friends. I experienced my first full group yesterday. While it was fun blasting through quests on Hard and Elite mode, ranking up like mad, I didn't have time to explore and enjoy the dungeons. I was a sad panda. I'm an explorer at heart. I come to DDO with 6 years of experience in EverQuest. (Including high-end raiding throug Plane of Time, just before GoD was released. Quit a month after Omens.) Following that a stint with WoW that just ended this last October (fiddled a bit with MC, AZ and AQ20). Scattered in there were less-than-a-year-each stints in Asheron's Call, DAoC, and... ToonTown! I've tried out a couple different characters, but currently settled on the wizard: Lemminkainen, 3 Ranger Lemmi Starfyre, 2 Wizard Lemmster, 2 Bard I've a full time job with a 45 minute commute, plus a wife and kids, so my playtime can be sporadic and limited. That said, I'd love a chance to meet some of you and see if we might be a fit. During the week, I probably wouldn't be logging on until between 7-8pm, and only for a couple hours. There will be Saturdays I can go all day. It's possible I could go a week without logging in at all. I have a very hectic life sometimes! -Lemmi
Welcome friend!! Glad you found your way to the stronghold.... Have you had a chance to review the welcome content in detail? Any questions?
welcome indeed, there is always room for casual players here - if you need any help or anything, don't hesitate to ask
yeah welcome ! Dont worry about not being able to login all the time..plenty of us can go for quite a while without logging in as well
I looked through it while writing up my post so I could try and give the information you'd want up front. I'll be reading through it again, no questions so far.
HI.. you should feel at home here we have a mix of hard-core gamers and some soft core gamers.. I think the mix makes for a better guild.
Was grouped with Remo and Bee today.... (Remo's son too) Lemmi was in our group.... I think he can learn quite a bit from us about the game. I thought he was a solid guy... Listened in groups... had some fun... and seemed to fit right in.
I had a blast, thanks to everyone. There's nothing like being sliced in twain by giant metal blades while in good company. Hope to do it again. Well, maybe not the slicing in twain part... maybe.
Lemmi... I talked to a few of the guildies and we all agreed you'd be a good fit based on our experience with you. If ya still want in I'll move forward with the process. Let me know. A few thins we need you to acknowledge: 1) You fully understand the EVENTS system... 2) You intend on being active within these forums.... 3) You have read all of the welcome content (recruitment content) 4) you understand the ALIAS system... 5) Leave the drama at work... come to OSD for fun in the sun... =)
If you're worried about Casual v.s. Hardcore, I fear I'm on the forums more than I can be in game. LOL. My dad and I share an account, so it's difficult. He also completely sucks at using a paladin, but I'll stop there. =P (Quote: "So there's an enhancement for another Lay on Hands? Seems pretty useless to me...") It's always great to have another find out stronghold, welcome.
Ok Lemmi, Let's get the show on thw road! =) One step you missed was applying to the OSD~DDO User group... Seem you applied to the citizen group..which is fine... but to gain access to our guild only group you'll need to join the other.
OK Lemmi, You sir, are set!! Only thing left to do is get you in the ingame guild!! As of now, you have access to our guild resources... Welcome aboard brother!
Welcome Lemmi! If you're on tonight, give Prettymad a tell. I'll be doing some solo Giant cave runs while the kids are settleing down.
