- What brought you to our website? I was brought here when I was on the AoC community page. I am new to AoC and have been searching for a friendly, RP guild that acts as a family such as yours. - This recruitment process requires that we get to know you a little bit. Tell us about yourself. I come to this mystical yet savage world from WoW and LotRO. I have been playing MMOs for about 8 years now (since I was ten) I myself am a Heavy RPer but of course will follow anyone's type of playing style. I have just started playing AoC and only have one character, the great bear shaman, Bavoren. I seek to help with the guild and add to the friendly atmosphere. - Do you enjoy Role Playing in-game? Very much, yes. - Which online game interests you? (AoC or DDO) We expect all of our AoC players to use Ventrilo while they are in game. Is this ok with you? I am interested in AoC and i do not currently have Ventrilo and am fuzy on how to use it, but with some help I will of course use the system. - Do you intend on being active on our website forums and Events Calendar? Yes, I like to check my guild's page at least once daily. - Once you learn how, we want you to create events or RSVP other scheduled events as your RL schedule permits. What are your thoughts on this? How frequent do you figure on creating an event for others to participate in? You comfortable promoting these events in the Ventrilo and/or guild chat channels? I do love to plan RP related events at least once a week unless my schedule is busy or I seek to catch up on leveling. And yes, I do like to promote these events via guild chat and am defiantly willing to try Ventrilo. - Have you been playing MMO's for a while or are you just getting started? I have been playing MMO's for about 8 years, yet I still have problems with my computer so I may ask questions, I am still learning =) And Ventrilo is actully a new thing to me, so questions on that as well. - Do you feel comfortable with the website and it's resources? Yes, everything is easy to find. - We expect all players to submit and update their characters in our website ROSTER. Are you ok with this? After reading the above content, why do you think it might be important? I am fine with this and understand it may be important because the guild may want to see how we are doing, perhaos assist us and this also makes sure we are visiting the website. - What kind of character do you typically play? Tell us about your main character? I usually play a magic wielding character, whether they be priest or mage, though I am more likely to play priest classes. My only character's name is Bavoren and he is currently a level 20 bear shaman. I am yet to work out his RP story, though I intend to soon. He is currently specing in the Spirit tree. - If you violate ANY rules defined within the gaming EULA you will be removed from this community. You ok with this? I am fine with this and will follow the rules the best I can. - What time of day do you typically play? How often? I usually play in the early afternoon for a few hours, and then for a longer period at night at about 5:30-6:00 EST. I am an active player. - Are you affiliated with any other guilds? I am close to one of the members of Primal Fury and close to a member of Hyborian Immortals but that is all. - How do you think you can best help this community? I can help the community by answering questions some may have, I am good with the lore. If anyone is new to roleplaying I can help there and I am also told I am good at planning events so I may also help by planning many of those for hopefully all guild members to enjoy! =D - Which of the characters listed in your forum signature (see STEP 3) do you play the most? What level is your main character? My only character so far is my level 20 bear shaman Bavoren. - We are an Argonnessen Server guild within Dungeons and Dragons Online. Do you play on this server? For Age of Conan we play on the Cimmeria server. Do you play on this server? Yes, I play on the Cimmeria server for AoC - For Age of Conan, we require that your are familiar with our Guild Structure and Advancement described here (Age of Conan Guild Advancement). Are your prepared for your journey to Vassal? Tell us what you think of this quest ahead of you? I think that if I truely have the Soul of the Dragon within me I can conquer these feats easily, no matter how difficult and recieve the grand reward of becoming an official member of OSD! With much prepartion an hard training I shall find my strength and bring the Dragon's Soul out from within me! Lets do this!!!
Welcome welcome! Nice application One of the crusty old... I mean "senior" officers should be around later today to welcome you too.
HAH! Thanks Coy.... Welcome Bavoren, I'm glad you found your way to our community. We have quite a mix here in OSD, and we're very aggressively growing our RP themes and general offerings to our members. I think you might want to participate in our Thursday night RP night....once we finish this process here you'll be able to find these events in our calendar. Oh, on the vent thing... I'd be more than happy to walk you through it's use. It's something you'll have up and runnin in no time! Do you have a mic? You might wanna get one... worse case, at least you can listen in. It's a helpful tool that helps us coordinate events, member questions, battles, raiding, questing... We do require members be in vent when they are logged into the game. That said... This is a great application and I sincerely believe you'll have a great time with us. We're very relaxed about our gaming and aim to ensure it's fun for everyone involved regardless of you playing style. Looking forward to meeting you!! I'll let another the members look this over... I'll visit this thread later and button things up.
Welcome Bavoren! As Sook said, you will find no better group of people to spend your time with in game. Our RP is starting to really pick up as more folks get in to their characters. Are we hard core? Nope, I wouldn't call us hard core in ANY aspect of the game. However, you will find some of the best strategists, stat compilers, resource gurus, and folks with more in depth and easy to understand information about classes, specs, and crafting than you can find in any one soruce on the game. I believe you will find it quite easy to slip right in to the ranks here. Welcome to your new home. See you in game!
Welcome! It is nice to see another new player to AoC. I also have a 20's bear shaman so maybe we can group up and learn our class together.
Oh a shammy! That speaks and breathes! Can we keep ‘em?? Pleazzzze! {Behind her, she hides the mic, drops it to the ground, and steps on it with her favorite pair and newly polished Twilight Padsoles boots} A loud crackling sound is heard across hyboria. {Eyes wide open, she gathers the pieces and quickly tries to glue them back together with tree sap and pitch.... Failing, she hands the sticky pieces back to the unsuspecting shaman, hoping they will not be noticed.}
Welcome Welcome Bavoren, Well versed application, it is good to see the Healing Fighting Bear Join our Ranks. For this is truely a Family in rank, some times smelling (Zugg) {pigeon thief} and for myself as a New adventurer surely this is Home.
Thanks, Everyone! haha thanks so much guys, Sook I will gladly be there thursday nights and thanks SO much for walking me through vent! (Yes I have a mic!) You guys made a great welcome and I fullheartedly appreciate it! I'm glad to be here!

Greetings Bavoren! I think you'll find this crew a lot of fun and good players to hang out with. I bounced around quite a bit before landing here. If you are still grinding through Tortage and have any issues.. send me a shout I've got Sorus (Assassin) stationed there and on call!

Oh yes, sook! I must tell you, my brother wishes to join the ranks of the Silver Dragons, he loves to RP almost as much as I he'll be posting an app sometime soon if you wish to welcome him in. Oh yes, upon joining as bavoren, may my ranger join as well, her name is Florensa! (updated sign! =D )
Yes, yes and yes... We'd love to have your brother join the fold... I approved your site access.... So you sir, are official!! We just need to invite you in-game. TO-DO: - Go to our vent link and see if you can walk through the steps there to get set-up. (ensure you use PUSH TO TALK) - Know the state of our guild relationships: http://silverdragons-lair.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9104 - Have tons of fun! - Contact an OSD officer for an ingame invite....it's easiest to coordinate this while in vent (do the best you can for now) That said... WELCOME TO THE GUILD!! *Salutes*
