- What brought you to our website? I found your website via a post on the official Age of Conan forums - Why might you be interested in joining our community? I am interested because this guild seems very laid back. It looks to be full of mature, laid back players who focus on fun rather than becoming number 1. This seems like a helpful guild that respects all players, hardcore or casual, no matter what. - Have you been playing MMO's for a while or are you just getting started? I have been playing MMO's since 2003 starting with FFXI. I played that for about 2 years. Then I got into Guild Wars and played that for about another 2 years. In April 2006 I got Lord of the Rings Online and quit recently due to my guild disbanding. - Do you feel comfortable with the website and it's resources? Yes everything seems up to par. - What kind of character do you typically play? Tell us about your main character? I am currently not in the beta, but my choices so far are Conquerer and Dark Templer. My secondary choices would include Demonologist, Tempest of Set and Bear Shaman. - Describe your style of game play... My style of gaming would veer more towards PvE, Raiding and Siege battles. I like to get familiar with the game mechanics before I participate in PvP. - What time of day do you typically play? How often? I usually play after 3pm when I get home from school on weekdays until I go to bed. On weekends I play all day unless something comes up - Are you affiliated with any other guilds? I am not - Which of the characters listed in your forum signature (see STEP 3) do you play the most? I cannot answer this question because I have not gotten into the beta - We are an Argonnessen Server guild within Dungeons and Dragons Online. Do you play on this server? I do not My name is Dave and I am 21 years old. I look forward to playing with you guys if you choose to accept me.
Hello Dave, Welcoem to our stronghold... Welcoem to the big WAIT for AoC...hehe Our present focus (until AoC comes out) has been DDO... Have you looked at this game. it's pretty fun! Anyway.. Welcome.... Oh one question... We're pretty active in our own forums... Are you a forum user yourself? We hope our members really take advantage of our site resources and help guildies with tips and such... I guess what I'm saying is we would expect you to be fairly active in the forums...
I read a few threads before I signed up. I am active on a guild forum no matter what guild/clan I belong to. In my current clan for FPS I recently got promoted to the UT3 Division leader.
Is AoC out yet? Is AoC out yet? Is AoC out yet? Is AoC out yet? Is AoC out yet? Is AoC out yet? Is AoC out yet? Is AoC out yet? Is AoC out yet? Is AoC out yet? dangit, what's taking so long?
not yet...FunCom's working on making it a quality game (AO's imo the best mmo out there, too bad the graphics make me sick), and also, seeking more ways to make it appeal to the hordes of 16 yr old leet skillz wow-kids besides the already advertised boobs, blood and mature rating.....WoWkids are like pokemon, gotta catch em all. Sadly, I believe AoC will be a bomb on release........not in sales, or quality of the game itself, but in community. WoW mentality has ruined most of the MMO playerbase....rush in and gimme gimme gimme, gank, KS, gimme, is far more common now than actual camp checks, rotations, etc for non instanced gaming and AoC will be drawing in more than it's fair share of those types of players due to having pixelated nipples ( I can see it now........"OMGZ NIPPLES!!!!!!! hoo needz nightelf babes now? I R gonna cyber me some of dat 55 yr old trucker playing a girl toon, wooterz" followed quickly by "mom, knock before you come in dammit, yes i'm done my homework, geez" ) . Vanguard and WoW killed my tolerance for such bahaviour in games, but for those looking forward to the game, it looks amazing and FC runs really great products (support is a bit rough but the game itself will kick major butt) /nod
I sorta of agree with you there. But what I think really bought on those kind of kids playing MMOs is Guild Wars. That game has the worst community I have ever seen in a game. Hopefully the WoW folk will stay with WoW. Since this game WILL have pixelated nipples, I do expect those kind of losers to flock to this game, but hopefully the combat and overall game won't appeal to them and they will leave. I still really look forward to this game nothingless.
Yep, complex game with complex tactics and complex twitch skills = less asshats. Or at least interesting ones...in blue shorts....
asshats and blue shorts! WooT! hehe, anyway - while we wait for AoC to come out i'd like to welcome you the the gates of our great little guild here, hopefully we'll meet up in AoC whenever that time arises and yes, although GW is a cool game, its multiplayer part sucks! - whats even worse is that because you can solo a lot of the content those annoying players get to the end content and spoil it for the rest of us. DDO being heavily based on the party part of the game really removes most of those guys(although, some still excict - cant have an mmo without em can we now? )
Didja get an invite from an officer? Do you have Order of the Silver Dragons above yer head? (Second questions a trick question, cause you cant see yer own name!) I left the stuff ^^^ up there cause I think its funny. But to answer yer question, we play DDO until AoC comes out. You have access to this website I assume, so thats as good as being in the AoC guild. You cant be "officially" in the AoC guild until, well, until AoC comes out and the invites start. OR until global warming kills us all...whichever comes first.
To answer your question... not quite. it seems you're missing some info... Review the step-by-step guide carefully... It will walk you through the process. Pretty simple actually.
