Greetings and salutations, I haven't done a lot of introduction posts in my time but here she goes:

    Username: Demian

Primary Character Class: Pure Human Bard

Character Back Story (a work in progress): Demian’s back story is a little too long to post here (it is already a page and a half and I’m still working on it), so here is a basic synopsis of the most interesting points of his past life.

Demian’s childhood was quite eventful, from being raised a feral child by sentient sewer-dwelling mechanical hounds, to spending some time in an orphanage, and eventually ending up part of a group of local street toughs. Demian aspired to great things and ran away to the small local circus, learning the tricks of the trickster’s trade. In time Demian worked his way from lowly dung-shoveler to such illustrious positions as master concessions vendor, expert lute tuner, and the all but necessary ringmaster’s third assistant’s understudy.

Of course his circus career eventually came to an end. After all his experience, Demian was able to secure a position as a professional knife throwing target in the Grand Sharn Aerial Circus. Through some sort of miracle, Demian was able to survive the lightning strike, the explosion, and the hundred foot fall, but the knife thrower somehow missed his mark (yes, his left eye is fake, and no, you can’t touch it).

The exhilaration of the circus in the clouds gave Demian a new career goal, sky pirate. Of course he couldn’t just go jack some air ship, he had to start small smuggling himself aboard… well a smuggler’s ship. Unfortunately Demian’s run of bad luck could not be avoided, and he eventually found himself washed ashore on a small port island called Smuggler’s Rest.

With Demian, I’m going for a mix of Gambit and Jack Sparrow, with a touch of Chuck Norris thrown in for good measure. Sure, he isn’t as strong, smart, or hearty as everyone else, but he certainly enjoys acting like he is.

Bio: I am 19 years old; a sophmore at UMBC studying Bioinfomatics. I have little experience in PnP D&D, but I am very interested in all things D&D, have read a lot of the material available on the internet, and enjoy roleplaying. I have more then four years experience in MMORPGs, and have played most other D&D computer games starting with Bauldur's Gate, all the way through Neverwinter Nights. I enjoy hobbies like Warhammer, LOTR, forum surfing, and uh... video games. I am very outdoorsy, and go camping, boating, and rock climbing. Oh, and my favorite video game of all time is... Fallout.

Sorry if that was too long, I just like to add as much detail as I can to help others understand what I am saying.

(PS: My complements on the website, it looks great)

Welcome to the boards. Sit back relax and partake in some of the threads going on. Don't worry about the intro being to long. I don't think there really is such a thing.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

"Bioinfomatics and Computational Biology" is a mixture of Computer Science and Biology. This appealed to me since I like both of the subjects, plus my mom is a biologist and my dad is a computer scientist, so I figured I would be a mix of the two. Most importantly it includes most of the requirements for pre-med, since I plan on eventually going to med-school.

Yup, that's right Sempiternal. I'm planning on building my own cyborg army sometime over the next few years. You would be amazed at how many random human body parts are just laying around my college campus.

Just a heads up so you won't be suprised when the human purge's begin and I am 'elected' to king of north Kansas (hey everyone's gotta start somewhere right?).

Actually, it is more like running lab experiments while utilizing computers for quantatative analysis and biological simulation (sorry if none of that make sense, I like to use large words 'cause it makes me seem like I know what they mean , when I'm probably completely wrong).

I've been neglecting my daily greetings to new travelers. Obviously spening too much time in the tavern drinking and making an ass of myself. (or maybe it is the 10 day beta pass I am trying to get in as much as I can before my time is up). In any case....kick yer feet up and have a look around. Welcome to the boards.

    My goodness, I love it.
Having had some experience myself on the seamy side of life as a slicer - read that as smuggler - in star wars galaxy.

Never was a knife thrower's target though.

    Welcome to the Silver Gate.
