Hail and well met, Silver Dragons. It's been a couple months since our journies in Stormreach began. How's everyone doing over here? DMK has been doing well save for an instance here and there, but that's to be expected with any organization.

It occured to me though from speaking with MantisDragon... For us being allies, we really don't do much together. Perhaps we could join forces this weekend for some inter-guild raiding through Tempest Spine or Vault of Night. Interested?

Hiya Enon, and welcome to the gates of our family.....

What you are suggesting could be a cool idea.. definately.....

anyway, I found a post by you on the ddo forums, and followed the link to your guild, there I noticed taht a guy without having to login can get to your tavern and to the place where you barter about items.... just a heads up :) in case you want to change it :)

We have our Drunken Dwarf Tavern set like that on purpose as it is the public forum in which all are welcomed to attend. The main forums are kept hidden by yours truly and reserved for DMK members. Anyone here is more than welcomed to stop by and have an ale and share a tale with us in our tavern.

But the bartering I will have to change. Thanks for the notice.

I'm thinking of doing this on Saturday. Spread the thought to your masses and discuss. I will do the same for mine. Six of OSD and six of DMK sounds good. Maybe we can get more than one group going too.

I would certainly be up for a Tempest Spine run.

I think for the sake of things, we should probably start with Tempest Spine. That way nobody has to worry about setting up their dragon quest and we can all use the opportunity to get to know each other better before jumping head on against the dragon.

I was thinking Saturday at 4pm EST. Drop me an email at shinmafox@yahoo.com if any OSD wish to join up with DMK at this time. Just let me know character name, level and class. I'll be keeping a party list in our Drunken Dwarf Tavern at dragonmarkknights.net

Feel free to drop by and check up on it.

speaking as the leader of the tempest runs, not as an officer...

how will the raid be led?

i know when i lead the raid, i am god. if yer in my group you do what i say when i say, and we all live and complete the quest...

i know that for a raid to be done well, no only does it need a good leader, but it needs good followers... the players themselves dont have to be the best 'gamer' just good listeners

With DMK usually, it's the most experienced person with the quest takes the lead. I've done Tempest Spine quite a few times but I have no problems taking a back seat. If an OSD member is group leader, I am certain that nobody in DMK would have a problem with it. Because honestly, we want to stay alive too. :D

experience does not make a good leader, rather a good advisor...

i dont care who leads or who knows the terrain, as long as the leader is a leader, and the one who knows the terrain ensures everyone knows whats gonna happen

of course, its best if they are one in the same

I will have to agree yndro is 1 hell of a good quest leader I dont know mutch about your guild ,,or the players in it but if ya do decide to do this mabey you and yndro should have a face to face and decuss the quest and get to know each other better...

I havent done tempest yet as my main is a mutt.. fighter2/ranger2/cleric5
set up with heavy repeater feats was going to wait till 10 and get my lv 6 cleric first ..

A good idea. Yndrofian and I should get together in game sometime to discuss how this event will work. I've just gotten five others from my ranks who would be willing to team up this Saturday. They are to include myself...

    Team DMK
    1. Enon - lvl 10 Paladin
    2. Corel - lvl 10 Cleric
    3. Arakesh - lvl 8 Ranger
    4. Helmest - lvl 10 Cleric
    5. Brokenscythe - lvl 9 Fighter
    6. Jordan - lvl 10 Wizard

I can vouch for every one of them as solid players as I have adventured with all of them at one time or another. In fact, I just killed the dragon again with Jordan last night. Both Corel and Helmist are outstanding clerics and Arakesh is quite handy with a bow. Me? I know to kill casters first and to stay behind the rogue. :) We'll need to pick up a rogue somewhere. Perhaps there's one in your number that would like to team up?

so basically, we'll need .... *thinking*

    1 or 2 more tanks
    1 more cleric, and perhaps another semi-cleric (i.e. cleric/fight)
    another caster would be good
    and a rogue or two

let me see what i can scrounge up :)

oh and an idea... if we get enough tempest veterans... how does doing it on hard sound ?:D?

As I mentioned elsewhere on our boards. I was in on DMK's Dragon Kill yesterday. I think you would like how they are in a raid. Other than 2 brainfarts the raid went terrific.

    found it

    for those interested

    http://www.dragonmarkknights.net/

and i dont want to be a jerk or anything...
but i want to make sure our newer guildies are aware...
there has been no 'formal' alliance made, though i see no problems whatsoever in a collaboration for common ends...
personally, i dislike the word "alliance"
    but thats just me...
i can see very many positive and advantageous things come from a 'collaboration' between us, but...
this is for the record, please note the thread to which i think the 'alliance' reference alludes to:
(had to do some diggin, but i found it)

    http://www.silverdragons-lair.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=848&highlight=alliance

and enon, i plan on being in game tonight (wed) from 6pm EST till who knows when, if you can contact me id like to chat with ya about the tempest thing... voice chat prefferably, of course...
hell, see if you can pick me up for group... grouping has been strange as of late... and if you do plan on picking me up for a group, itd behoove you to know i play a lvl 10 sorc (i kill. i dont buff, haste, or fart around. i kill)

    *edited*
no offense was intended for any of this post... it is my primary job to ensure all our members have access to all relevant and pertinant guild information... and i would consider and official alliance both relevant and pertinant... so i want to ensure our guildies know the facts... after all, i am a very literal person :)

i thought about the calendar... but its too short notice for most... a post in the tavern (which ive already done) should prove well enough, if not better....

oh, and ill *let* you come :D, but this time your swimming through the lava! :) tee hee hee

Oh, I forgot the stupid lava :) I'll try not to fall in. I can only do what I can do though.

I still did the calendar, we'll see if we get anyone. It's there, sign up.
