I SEE YOUR GATES ARE CLOSING TONIGHT & HOPE I'M NOT TO LATE FOR CONSIDERATION OF MEMBERSHIP TO THE SILVER DRAGON'S FAMILY.

    MY PRIMARY CHARACTER CLASS: PALIDAN

CHARACTER BACKSTORY: FROM WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD FROM THE MONKS WHO RAISED ME. MY FATHER IS OF NOBLE BIRTH WHO HAD A AFFAIR WITH A YOUNG BARMAID AND I WAS THE RESULT. TO PROTECT ME, MY BIRTH WAS CONCEALED, AND I BECAME A WARD OF A MONESTARY. WHILE AT THE MONESTARY I WAS TRAINED AS A HOLY WEAPON OF GOD TO HELP GUIDE ME & PROTECT ME FROM THE TRIALS & TRIBULATIONS THAT WILL BE MY LIFE.

BIO: I'M A FATHER & HUSBAND, AGE 37, & BEEN A PNP PLAYER FOR OVER 20 YEARS. I'M MORE ACUSTOM TO THE 2ND EDITION RULES, BUT PICKING UP QUICKLY ON THE NEW ONES. I USUALLY PLAY A HUMAN PALADIN OR A DWARF FIGHTER/CLERIC

Welcome to the gates traveller. Have an ale while you wait. I do have one question for you if you don't mind. What does a guild mean to you?

multiple choice... and if i could put bubbles on here and ask you to use only a no. 2 pencil... i probably would... cause that would be funny...

    1. how would you LIKE to traverse dungeons (no matter how many times youve done that particular dungeon)

    a. so slow that not even voice chat can keep your companions awake
    b. slow enough to stay alive and enjoy the scenery, perhaps even stop the group and tell them to turn up their graphics so they can see this cool light effect
    c. a decent pace, not slowing the group, but giving people time to do what they need, whether it be trading after getting loot from a chest, or waiting for a trap to be disabled even though everyone can make it past alive (hurt but alive)
    d. fast, do what needs to be done, if the optional quests are easy enough, do those too, get the loot, the the xp and get out
    e. warp speed - loot means nothing compared to xp, if you get left behind yo better stay alive.... waterworks, all 4 parts done in less than 1 hr
    f. none of the above - please explain in essay form

and given the time constraint, ill add these too

what are you looking for in a guild?
what can you offer this guild?
what do you expect from a guild?

AND TO ANSWER YOU YNDROFIAN TO YOUR INTERESTING QUESTION. MY ANSWER WOULD BE (B) I LIKE TO GO SLOW ENOUGH TO STAY ALIVE, BUT FAST ENOUGH TO ENJOY THE SCENERY.

TO ANSWER YOUR OTHER QUESTIONS: I LOOKING FOR A HOME AWAY FROM HOME, A PLACE TO LEARN FROM & SHARE IDEAS, TO MEET FELLOW ADVENTURES. THE ONLY THING I HAVE TO OFFER IS MY DEDICATION & MY FUTURE KNOWLEDGE FROM ADVENTURING. WHAT I EXPECT FROM A GUILD, IS TO BE A PLACE TO MEET NEW TRAVELLERS & SHARE OR COLLECTIVE WISDOM

Greetings KARIK, your post seems to describe our typical member and has many of the items I look for. The only thing bugging me is the CAPS. Can you provide an explanation for them? I can see the initial post to catch attention but why the follow up posts?

Donshep & my fellow adventures, I sincerly apoligize for my ill manners. I'm not the most skill in the art of typing or the etiquette that comes with it. I did not realize I was shouting and for that I am deeply sorry.

Welcome to the gates of the Order :) Thank you for the sincere apology. I am also not skilled in typing and sometimes don't realize that i'm using caps. Also I had no idea for a while when I did it was considered shouting. Take care.

Well, I'm glad we got the caps cleared up because that was going to be my question, "why are you shouting at us?" LOL

Is okay... you know now, but in online games you need to be a little careful, is quite different then in real life...

    Tell us more about yourself.

My dear lady thank you for your quiry. As for myself I played beta the previous ten days as Tale Onnstrider, Palidin & Oreck Axegrinder, Cleric. I go by Karik, because my favorite Pnp fighter/cleric is Karik DaRed (Dwarf). I've been a hardcore D&D player of 20yrs, I still attend my weekly adventures DM'd by my bestfreind.

    Karik,

I would like to wish you luck as well. It seems we would get along famously in game! Hit me up any time.

My fellow adventures & gate guards of this noble guild. Any more questions for this hopeful pettioner. I'm here at the gates trying to keep warm and my spirits alive with a tankard(or two) of ale. Please provide a adventure some conversation to make his vigil go by.

Kril walks back out of the gates and points at you, "You there! Stop all that shouting and you can enter!"

After a second Kril lightens up and says, "Don't worry friend you can buy me an ale for waking me with all that racket." Kril chuckles as he leads you to the tavern and says, "Did i ever tell you the time i rode a silver dragon..."
