2015 Nominations - Most Painful Death of the Year

Seldonia.

The two of us were playing H1Z1 one night, and he encountered a bug that caused him to die in rather spectacular fashion. We had just finished looting a fully stocked building and had gear nearly falling out of our backpacks. We had food, weapons, clothing, everything. We were fully stocked. As we're coming out of the building we notice a couple of zombies shambling towards us. Two zombies are easy prey, but Sel apparently wanted to end them rightly, with our pickup truck. He hops in the truck and hits the gas, which for some reason caused the truck to bug out fantastically. It immediately flew forward at incredible speed, probably 3 or 4 times faster than it should have been able to go. I hear Sel utter a shocked expletive over TS, his truck-rocket buzzes past me only inches away from my face, soars into the zombies...and immediately explodes. The zombies die of course, and so does Sel, losing all of the gear we had just spent a good half hour or so collecting. I'm nearly falling out of my chair, trying to maintain my composure as Sel vents his frustration in TS. It was quite the sight, and definitely painful!

 

I have tears in my eyes from laughing as I read that.

Had totally forgotten about that until now.

 

I will put Aussiescum up for this award - though I think we already have a winner above.

Aussie's death(s) were a little less spectacular but the volume of them is the key (quantity over quality - see you at the buffet). Anyway - we were in our regular raid night and doing a Legendary Shroud - basically the old shroud with the volume turned up to 11 on damage and difficulty. Between the whirling blades of shavarath, mobs that hit you for 1000hp dmg and the devils that teleport one shot you in the back then teleport away....Aussie managed to wrack up 10deaths in a 40minute raid.
