The OSD Annual Awards are back! Every year you OSDers will nominate and vote on various awards for your guildmates. Think of them as our own version of the Grammys. Here are the awards currently up for grabs. OSD Top Honours Shining Light of OSD - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as a key figure in shaping the direction of OSD throughout the year, regardless of official rank. Officer of the Year - Awarded to the OSD officer that best exemplified a high standard of leadership throughout the year. Member of the Year - Essentially our "MVP" award, going to the OSD member that best exemplified what it means to be a part of OSD. Recruit of the Year - Our "Rookie of the Year" award, going to the new member that best exemplified what it means to be a part of OSD. Entertainer of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that did an outstanding job of creating out of game content. Be it through videos, stories, forum posts, etc. Playstyle Awards PvPer of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as the "MVP" in PvP gameplay. PvEer of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as the "MVP" in PvE gameplay. RPer of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as the "MVP" in RP gameplay. Crafter of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as the "MVP" in Crafting. Divisional Awards GW2 Player of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as the "MVP" within the GW2 division. SWTOR Player of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as the "MVP" within the SWTOR division. DDO Player of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as the "MVP" within the DDO division. FFXIV Player of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as the "MVP" within the FFXIV division. NWO Player of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer that stood out as the "MVP" within the NWO division. OSD Razzies Epic Fail of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer who managed to generate the biggest facepalm moment of the year. Most Painful Death of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer who took the hardest death of the year. VOIP Mishap of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer who had the worst voice comms slipup of the year. WTF Moment of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer who managed to generate the biggest "Dude...WTF just happened?" moment of the year. Most Useless Forum Thread of the Year - Awarded to the OSDer who posted the most pointless thread of the year. And here's how the system will work. - You can nominate somebody for as many awards as you like. - You can only nominate one person for any one award. You can't nominate 2 people for the same award. - You can not nominate yourself for anything, somebody else will have to nominate you. - Any of the "moment awards" like Epic Fail will require some sort of background for your nomination. So just tell the story of what happened (for those of us who didn't witness it), and provide any relevant links to threads/screenshots/etc. if there are any. - When nominating somebody for any award, please go into as much detail as possible. Tell us who you're nominating, and why. - Nominations will begin on Sat. Nov. 23, 2013 and run until Fri. Jan. 17, 2014. There will be a thread posted for each award, please put your nominations in there. - Nominations will be closed and voting for the winners will begin on Sat. Jan. 18, 2014 and run until Fri. Jan. 24, 2014. - The winners will be announced during the week beginning Mon. Jan. 27, 2014.
Fyi all, we're going to extend the nomination phase by another week or two. So if you still have a nomination in mind, post it soon!
I'm glad to know that the Razzies category exists... those will likely be the only ones I'd every qualify for :whistling:
The only explanation for that is there was either 1) No nomination before the deadline or; 2) there was only ONE nomination at deadline. No sense in putting one nomination to a vote and the person nominated wins be default.
